Looks like we are going to get it here before the US.

BBC Four does excellent music documentaries etc., across a wide
spectrum of styles.

A first class documentary - lots of photos and footage that I've
not seen elsewhere.
Not to be missed.

Does it have any concert footage or anything from this year?

Difficult to say - there is footage of Merle's son playing with
the band, that must be quite recent.
The programme was put together over three years and during an
interview Hag mentions being 71, so you can deduce the timeframe
from that.

After watching the BBC 4 programme about Merle Haggard on
Friday night, I was over the moon. The information was really
brilliant & to hear Merle sing plenty of his songs was just
wonderful. It was great to see where he was born & how he
lives today. I must say he still has a fantastic singing
voice. I just wished I was in the audience of these show.
This programme was followed by Kings of Country, which gave us
more of Merle, Johnny Cash, Jim Reeves & Hank Williams. This
was continued with life of Johnny Cash & then Hank Williams.
It was a great night for Country Music Fans. I wish they would
give us more of this on our TV. Thanks to BBC 4. I enjoyed
every minute of this great night.
Margaret :)
I had posted this in the wrong place. So I made a copy for
here. :)

Those extra programmes were repeats previously produced by BBC
for UK broadcast only as far as I know.
