This is the The Referee forum where everyone who respect the
posting rules is welcome to discuss about football refereeing.
;)
As a guest you can't do anything except viewing the forum. In
order to start discussing you have to register. By registering
you become a regular member. That means you will be able to add
new topics in all categories except 'FIFA and UEFA tournaments'.
Of course, you will also be able to add posts everywhere. But
you still won't be able to add pools. In order to gain the full
possibilities, you have to be a global moderator. But it's not
that easy to become one. The only way to do that is to
contribute to the website. Find more info at
HTML http://thefref.weebly.com/your-contribution.
In the 'FIFA and UEFA tournaments' category you'll find a board
for every FIFA and UEFA tournament (for example, '2019 UEFA
European Under-21 Championship' which was created as an
example). Usually a board in that category contains sticky topic
with a list of all selected officials for the tournament (and
sometimes their stats) where general discussions about the
tournament's refereeing are made. Additionaly, every match has
an own topic that becomes sticky in the day when the match is
played. There you can discuss incidents in the particular match.
When mentioning a match incident for the first time in a topic,
adding a link to a video would be just great. These are the hard
but only ways to get a video (if you know any more, please tell
it by replying this post):
> Download SofaScore on your mobile device, go to the particular
match, then to Media - there you may find a link to a video of
the incident but mostly only if it was an awarded penalty that
was scored. So this isn't the most recommended way.
> If the particular match was top-flight and it happened more
than 30 days ago, go to
HTML http://footballia.com
, register, find
the match, download Bandicam, record the incident, upload it to
Streamable.
> Go to
HTML http://livetv.sx
. If you are lucky, you may find the
long highlights of the match or even the full match. Use
Bandicam again, then upload to Streamable.
> The most easy one - find the highlights (on Youtube,
HTML http://fifa.com
,
HTML http://uefa.com
,
HTML http://sofascore.com
,
HTML http://livetv.sx
), add a link to them and mention when in the
video the incident happens (or, if taking highlights from
Youtube, add link to the moment of incident).
Where to view full live matches? The answer is short and
perfect:
HTML http://livetv.sx
. Nevermind where on the world you are,
you will be able to watch any match without any kind of
registering! Really amazing site!
Posting rules
> Show respect to match officials. Remember that they're trying
to make the best decisions they can but they're only humans who
can make mistakes.
> Be neutral. Don't evaluate the performance of a referee based
on his nationality, rase, and so on. Take the fan aspect away
when posting.
> Don't use swear words. It's not even permitted to use them in
a censored way, like 'This f****ng referee shouldn't be in the
elite category!'). You have many other ways of expressing your
opinion, like 'IMO [In My Opinion] this referee who has
performed terribly in the recent shouldn' be in the elite
category!'.
> Don't post off topic. Use the special off opic boards for
that.
> Don't show disrespect to particular rases (racism),
nationalities and so on.
> Write only in English. It's understandable that your English
isn't perfect (also mine isn't) but you should try and write in
English so that everybody of us can understand what you're
meaning and take part in the discussion. Also don't argue if
someone makes some spelling mistakes.
Posts that violate the rules above will be deleted. In case of
several violations you risk beeing baned from the forum for a
determined period or lifetime.
