New episode "Hide". Nice episode. No complaints really, just a
solid episode.

The last few episodes have been better than the usual Matt Smith
episodes. The only bad thing in the last 3 episodes was the Ice
Warrior coming out of its armor.

I loved tonight's episode :)
Classic callbacks, a properly done exploration of the TARDIS,
great visual effects ... some people found fault with the acting
of the three dudes but I think it was fine until the very end
when Tall Dude delivered his lines awfully.

Not that it'd have much competition. :D
Things I didn't like, all of Moffat's overused characters he's
in love with. Vastra, Jenny, Strax; and River. Wish they'd
vanish at this point. My mother who hasn't seen an 11 episode
yet goes "they're in Victorian England and nobody notices
there's an alien?" Hmm. Then there's the death of Jenny. But of
course she's not dead. And Strax. But he's probably not dead
either. Did I accidentally turn on Dragon Ball Z? And the Great
Intelligence looks like Simeon again for whatever reason.
Good parts were the other Doctors thrown in, especially a lot of
Hartnell. Though I'm beginning to think Moffat only throws in
these nods to the past, so old-time fans have something to cling
to. Also liked the inclusion of John Hurt as the Doctor. Would
be nice if we get an old, edgy Doctor who all the Companions
won't be drooling over (hopefully) for good. Maybe we'll get
lucky and Smith will slip on a banana peel in the special.
So yeah, while it had it's moments a lot of the episode was
built around the usual Moffat incoherent plot device. But I
definitely loved the opening and final moments.

I wouldn't go that far personally but I did like the way the
name issue was handled. I've never really cared what his actual
name is, and I'm glad they didn't go for some big awful
revelation about his past.
I enjoyed the episode quite a bit, loved all the scenes of Clara
everywhere. The captioning at the end was ridiculous though :)

Yeah it was definitely a relief they didn't reveal his real
name. I don't want to know and think anything they come up with
would just be a mistake at this point.

I didn't hate River in this episode. This was the REAL River
from the Library/Forest era. The only post-death appearance so
far and the way River should have been treated all along. No
mention of Ponds or any of the other BS that was crammed down
our throats by making her a concept instead of a character. This
time she was a character, finally a character, that was real and
true to the woman she was when we first met her.
It was a touching end to River, not tied to the baggage but
simply to the woman, the relationship and the memory.
