DCUC Wave 32- Hyperion at bat!
By: Hyperion Date: March 3, 2013, 9:35 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Inspired by Rod's Wave 31 reveals over on the Critical Mess,
I've been at work making Wave 32! :)
Like Rod, I will be revealing a new figure each day. However,
rather than have a collect and connect, I will be ending with a
       special 2-pack.
Let's begin with the continuation or the Green Arrow family by
       starting with-
       Mia Dearden- Speedy!

Like Arrowette, I used the YJ Artemis base with a trimmed down
Batman cape and a RA bow. Oddly enough, Mia's quiver is
       actually part of her cape.

Only three more to go in this group! :)
Tomorrow- a stolen idea to get a step closer to completing a
       team!

Today's offering is another lovely lady and a recipe borrowed
       from JQ-
       Day Two- Copper

GA Cheetah with two tone copper paint, though I opted for a
slight curl to her head and added the design lines with a marker
pen before tightening them back up with paint.

Good looking group. Only needs Doc and Nameless to wrap it up.
       :)
Tomorrow- another team builder and no small bit of vavavoom!

Today we've got a Legionnaire and the last of the lovely ladies
       in the wave-
       Day Three- Dream Girl

I'll admit that I'm not thrilled with her. I used a Power Girl
buck but didn't have the hair to replace her bob cut with so I
tried sculpting my own. It's servicable, but I may revisit her
if I find some other fodder.
Thom doesn't seem to mind having his Dreamy to hang out with
       though. :)

The Legion section of the shelf just isn't full enough. :(

Nice job Hype. Hair looks pretty good to me. I wish I could
get a handle on doing hair.

Have to agree that I'm not sold on the head in general. It's
now on my 're-visit eventually' list.
Anyway, switching up to villainous dudes instead of virtuous
ladies and starting out with one for the JSA fans-
       Day Four- Johnny Sorrow

In some respects, the easiest to do, but the hardest to get
right, Johnny comes from a Wave 5 Riddler without a head. The
mask and 'neck' are from scrap plastic.
       Tomorrow- ground breaking custom!

Johnny may lead the Injustice Society, but where would he be
       without a minion?
Ok, he'd still be pretty damned effective, but I think we need
more villains in any event so :P
       Day Five- Geomancer
       [IMG]

  HTML http://i790.photobucket.com/albums/yy181/JeremyCic/Wave32-52_zps6b7d93e1.jpg[/img]
Geomancer comes from a Batman with the stomach bands and
gauntlets (Ever really look at these things? He can't close his
hands to make a fist the way they are drawn 99% of the time!)
added with GreenStuff. I was even able to preserve the
ab-crunch, though lost the wrist artic. I thought of cutting
down to it, but realized that was much more difficult than I was
       willing to risk.

Forgot to add Black Adam to the pic. [meh] Still not bad
       though.
       Tomorrow- More villainy! How shocking!

       bench. Looks great.
