Well I'm sure everyone's heard the Disney/ Star Wars story by
now and half of us are ripping our hair out over excitement and
the other half out of anger. Well new new developments may
either change your side or add more proof to why you chose that
side. J.J.Abrams has just been announced as director. I find
this a bit odd seeing that Abrams is already directing Star Wars
biggest competition Star Trek. Full details found here

Yeah, now we can get an ultra boring, sterile looking Star Wars
film to go along with Star Trek. I can already see Zachary Qunto
       warming up his lightsaber.
       Wait... that sounded pretty dirty...

I really liked the Star Trek reboot. Star Wars has always had a
different feel. Star Wars feels totally alien to me. I know
there are beings that look human but I don't consider them
human. Trek always felt like the next stage of human evolution
reaching for the stars and finding what is out there. I hope
Abrams can keep the two flavors distinct.

Did you guys see this. I have to say a good solid No to all
       their choices except Emma Stone.

I hate the JJ verse. You don't throw away 43 years of history
and start over unless your lazy (no DC that wasn't directed at
       you, this time).

I look at the Star Trek reboot as an Earth two type thing. I
think the time travel aspect of the first movie created an
alternate universe. The other timeline has to be out to be out
there still or the older Spock would have vanished. That's how
I'm working it in my head anyway.
