The Doctor Who Christmas Special

Who else is watching it? I'm looking forward to a new Companion.
Though I really hope she isn't a Dalek. And I'm liking Smith's
new costume better from what I've seen. Figure the episode's got
to be better than last years with the Stormtroopers. Wouldn't
take much imo.

Oh I will be watching it shortly after tomorrow, but I am very
happy about seeing how they work with Clara, and I actually am
loving the new look, partly because I bought the pants a while
back, makes my life easier

That was Great! Very nice nods to the Classic series :)
Good setup to the Companion mystery ... and she wasn't as
annoying as I found her to be last time.
Loved the new theme arrangement and intro! Though the weird pork
chop shaped thing that appears at bottom right kind of bugs me
...

They killed Clara! Those bastards!! :D
So far I'm liking the Oswin character more than Amy, so that's a
plus. Didn't care much for the villains, man-eating snowmen? But
the episode was alright.
My best guess about Clara? Moffat likes to milk every good
concept he has (Weeping Angels, River Song, etc.) and says he's
bringing back Jack Harkness with a different actor. (boo!
hiss!!) So I'm guessing in the same vein that Amy was River's
mommy; now we have Oswin the girl who keeps coming back to
life... hmm, who else did that? Makes me wonder how old the new
Harkness actor will be.

Liking Clara. The right amount of Rose, Donna and Amy mixed
together to get a whole new personality.

I fell asleep in the last 10-15 minutes. Not unusual for me to
fall asleep watching something... I will have to catch the last
piece of it next time it comes on.

Ok, watched it twice,
I appreciate the new opening, and the callbacks to the other
TARDIS designs in the new one, the have something from all of
them, while making it new
I am interested in Oswin, and how that will progress, I am a
little tired of the companion centered plots, its like the
Doctor is now the Supporting character
Loved that they used a villain that hasn't appeared since the
60s, the Great Intelligence was cool
and Loved the second appearance of the Sherlock Holmes look,
that was cool

One of my problems with the new series is that every companion
is pretty much the same. Young 21st century girl who doesn't
get along with her domineering parents but misses them as she
travels around time and space. (Yeah, Amy didn't fit the mold
100%, but you know...) I was digging the idea of a non-21st
century girl as a companion. I'd like to see a Victorian Ager's
reaction to WWII for example, and our current time as "the
distant future".
I don't think they've this since the Troughton era, but It would
also be cool if the Doctor would travel with two companions from
different timelines, such as one Victorian Age, and one from our
time. One gets some jiggery-pokery done to her cellphone so she
can call home anytime she wants. The other can't because phones
don't exist in her time yet. The Doctor might be accused of
"playing favorites" when he's really just protecting her from
"spoilers".
