The Hobbit. So who here's seen it?

Went this past Friday. Overall I really liked it. Couple of
scenes weren't that great imo. Could've done without the rock
'em sock 'em stone giants in particular.

haven't seen it yet. how long is it. i can't do three hours in
a theater anymore. back starts hurting to bad.

Awesome. Simply awesome. Highly recommend it. 3 hrs and wasn't
bored at all the entire time. Alot of extra stuff worked in
though. If you read the book you will definitely notice it.
Later on found out it all came from the appendices and the
Silmarillion, which I may be the only person dumb enough to have
ever read. Anyway, if you haven't seen it, I suggest going. It
was alot of fun!

I thought the addition of the stuff with Radagast was really
well done and fun. Was pleasantly surprised with how many of the
songs made it into the movie as well. Figured they would've made
the film more serious than the book to match the tone of LOTR
and alot of that stuff would've ended up cut.
And yeah Titan, it ran 3 hrs and 9 minutes.

Worth it though. Really enjoyed this film, cannot wait for part
2. Jackson made up for King Kong to me.

I saw it last night... It was absolutely beautiful, but I felt
it had a little too much CGI.... I mean, I understand the need
for it in a fantasy setting, but if you're going to make a 9
hour long adaptation, maybe put a little extra in the half of
the scenes that are green screen?

Saw it a couple Saturdays ago. Loved it. I avoided spoilers, so
some of the changes were a nice surprise.
