War to Retake Qualinesti vol. I Story One: Second Attempt

Story One: Second Attempt
Chapter One: Warriors [/center]
The Leadership
The Lioness Kerianseray, Kagonesti, Queen of the Elven Nation,
wife of Speaker Gilthas. A Windrider and hardened warrior for
her people. She is completely devoted to her Husband and people,
but she is here to carve out the infestation from Qualinesti.
Orexas (Porthios Kanan), also known by his enemies as the
Scarecrow and the Ragman, as the Elven prince, was burned over
his whole body by Dragonfire. He is wrapped in bandages head to
toe. He is mostly unrecognizable. After sacrificing so much to
free Silvanesti of the Twisted Nightmare, he was thrown in
prison by General Konnel until he was branded a Dark Elf and
cast from elven society. His heart has become black, and he's a
fanatic to free Qualinesti, at all costs.
Alhana Starbreeze -She was once a Princess of Silvanesti, but
Alhana has been cast out as well, for marrying Porthios Kanan
and bearing his child. Alhana is the one who can reach Orexas on
a very deep level.
General Samar Elven Warrior, Steadfast and loyal devotee to
Alhana Starbreeze. Jealous of Porthios, but a loyal soldier to
the end.
A contingent of mixed Silvanesti and Qualinesti Elven Warriors
that followed
Windriders
Wildrunners
Marilee Arbagon and her Mercenary Company, the Sun Hawks

Story One
Chapter Two: The Old Fort [/center]
Southwest Ansalon
Qualinesti
Las locates the Elven Camp, and she and her griffon circle and
land in the Griffon staging area.
She hurriedly looks for the closest officer and asks to be taken
to Alhana. Once her identity was confirmed, she is taken to
Alhana Starbreeze. She tells her that her sister’s griffon went
down in Qualinesti and has been captured and is being held
alive, for now.
Alhana sees her husband, who has recently returned from a
sortie. Las carefully watches is reaction. She has always
shared her father’s dislike for Porthios Kanan, or whatever he
is calling himself these days. Orexas sees Las and that he
being observed gives no outward reaction for her to be able to
discern.
Las's sister Marilee understood him much more Las ever did.
Marilee came down here to help the elves reclaim their home.
She felt it was a duty much more then Las did. She walks to him
and says, “I want you pull back your army until my sister is
found.”
Orexas says “the attack is over. Our Forces has pulled back. We
were testing their defenses. They have built and employing
Ballista now. That’s new.”
“Yeah well, my sister got shot down on your attack.”
“You have my condolences; many have died this day; the Lioness
has not returned yet…”
“Due to another one of your psychotic plans.”
He walks away from the confrontation, leaving his wife to calm
the situation. Orexas/Porthios keeps walking, and inwardly
smiles.

Story One Finale

Story One
Chapter Three: The Queen and the Prince[/center]
Orexas/Porthios is standing alone, sitting on a low branch. Lost
in thought. The Lioness joins him.
“Welcome back Kerianseray.” The former Prince says.
“Thanks. Are you ever going to call me Queen? “
Orexas does not deign to answer her.
“The attack was a disaster. They were waiting for us at every
turn.” The Wild Elf states.
“We will find another place to penetrate. They must have a
weakness.” Orexas/Porthios says.
“I watched a powerful Druid and a Wizardess helped me walk into
the heart of the Draconians' HQ and walk out like butter.” The
Lioness describes the Ring of Teleportation Lashia let her use
for the extraction. Talidaar brought the Trees to life, and the
Draconian guards didn’t have a chance. I tell you we have been
doing this all wrong.”
“I never said I didn’t respect his power,” Porthios says flatly.
“You’ve just never respected the Man.” Kerianseray retorts.
“Listen, we need to work with these people. We should be there,
right now figuring this out. “
“I would beg him if I thought it would help. I don’t know if I
have it within myself to make peace with this man. I have lost
everything, Everything.
“You still have your life and your wife.” Kerianseray tries to
bring the man back to focus.
“I don’t know if he can ever forgive me.”
“Gods, you really hated each other. “
“It's more complicated than that.“
“I’ll take your word for it. Look, you need to figure it out. We
are losing a lot of lives, and there are not very many of us
left.
