An Assassin is a highly trained killer who can make a very good
living at doing this trade. Most assassins come from the lands
such as Khur, Estwilde, Lemish, Neraka, and Northern Ergoth.
They were used a lot during the War of the Lance in the
employment of the Dragonarmies or other dangerous guilds.
The practice is alive and well into the fifth age, especially in
Gwynned in Northern Ergoth. Their presence is felt in Southern
Ergoth, in Solamnia, Tarsis, Khur, and even among the Elven
Nations, a dirty state secret that takes out dark elves, ones
that have turned from the light.
Gwynned Guilds
Assassins have long been a weapon of warfare in Ergoth, and it
has carried through into modern times.
Elian Isle and Temple
Generations of Ran-Eil monk students have been trained,
forbidden to ever train their order’s secrets, on pain of
execution. All under the watchful eye of the Superior Master.
The Whitescale Society Assassins of Daltigoth
The Whitescale Society Assassins was a subgroup of the
Whitescale Society. The Assassins were organized by three
tieflings: Cang Balaurus, Jow Balaurus, and Shen Balaurs. They
made their base of operations in the city of Daltigoth. The
leaders were referred to as Masters (or Mistresses) of their
orders. All members would wear rune-inscribed scale necklaces.
The Assassin Compound was the home of the Whitescale Society
Assassins-
The Assassin Compound was where new recruits were trained. The
assassins were divided into three orders. Each order was
specialized. Members of each order were trained together,
separate from the other two in their wings of the compound, but
each member was assigned to a triad. A triad was a group of
three assassins composed of one of each order. The members of a
triad would also train together, and usually only triads would
work in the field.
Order of the Claws: The order focused on stealth and subterfuge.
The order was led by the Master of Claws Jow Balaurus.
Order of the Fangs: The order focused on using arcane Magic. The
order was led by the Mistress of Fangs Shen Balaurus.
Order of the Talons: The order focused on using Mysticism. The
order was led by the Master of Talons Cang Balaurus.
