Greetings to the visitors to the Forum,
It is I, the Dungeon Master of this Forum, and we are coming
back soon. I am deep into the Third Karnea Story. I have been
writing on the First Fifteen Chapters, and we are going to game
the first chapter here soon. More Aravis and Lucius stories are
coming. More Wydara and more Talidaar, and Lashia, and the kids.
I just needed some time away to refresh. All of my Notes were
already prepped, I had already done extensive planning for what
was to come, and I now come back to it with fresh eyes. I am
awaiting some feedback from Karnea's player on how we are going
to proceed. Where Story II was about the Consolidation of Power,
Story III will examine the Moves being played on the Khas Board,
that is the the World Stage. Now that there is another Power
Player involved, we will see how the game unfolds.
I have been deep into Aravis and Lucius's game so far in the
last couple of days and have had a look at where they have been
and where they are going now. New Aravis and Lucius are coming
       soon.
Also, looking at what I have done with the Conclave so far and
seeing what is next. The First Chapter of Karnea Story III
nearly breaks the Conclave and nearly sets them on Fire. It is a
game-changing Chapter, and it starts here at the beginning of
       Story III.
I have storylines continuing for the aftermath of the Elves that
I am going to delve back into and get Talidaar on his way and
work to bring the Arbagon family back together soon.

       Hello,
I have been doing some deep diving into my notes and have
figured out a game plan. I know the timeline of events that have
to happen before certain other things happen. The Wydara fight
has been difficult to contemplate and so it has taken so long.
Not all is lost, I have beats that happen, it's just everything
       else.
Obviously, the next steps with Talidaar are saying goodbye to
Rage, then traveling with Lashia to the Tower of Bloodsea, and
returning items to Karnea. Next is Home in Abanasinia, at least
for a couple of days, and then the Political Brushfires begins.
Some Vignettes about Aravis are coming, taking place in the
timeframe before Karnea fully returns. I have talked to Aravis's
player about the growth, and regression that has happened with
Aravis and the interesting dynamics with Selene, and Azura that
should be explored and bring her where she needs to be before
Karnea's return from the City of Lost Names.
Big things are afoot in the planning stages for the first in a
series of gaming sessions to provide the content for the next
       cycle.
A Huge note about the recent DL Saga video that I posted about
the Tower of Blood Sea. It says at the end of the video that the
Island sank and is currently sunk. I have found no evidence to
support that conclusion so this DM says it's still there and to
disregard that conclusion in the Video. Also, I handle the Top
of the tower differently from the stated sources, just going in
a different direction that is more practical for my game.
       Anything Else...?
Found I had not fully rounded out the Order of Lunitari, having
focussed on the Black Order and the White Orders in the recent
       past.
I was writing about Lucius on one of Karnea's trading vessels,
sailing across the Blood Sea, and detailing the Captain and the
       Crew for that excursion North.
I figure another week or so to have a lot of this moving forward
with a gaming session for the First Chapter of Story Three with
       Karnea's player.
       Coming Soon,

       Greetings,
Finally got the Wydara Game done. The Fight with the Barbarian
is done. I will have it posted up here soon. It's taken a long
time to get this story to this point. I have to prepare the game
notes to Story. Just give me a couple of days, and I will have
it out. This has been a huge stumbling block for months. Glad to
have it done; this frees up so much now.
I especially like the ending for them. sad, poignant. It says a
lot in a couple of words. Heartbreaking to write.
Thank you for your patience. I just needed a big reset.

Behind the DM's Screen Vol. XI Wydara Chapter Six in Blood and
       the Arena II is posted
   DIR By: Dungeon Master
       Date: March 30, 2025, 12:49 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Wydara Chapter Six in Blood and the Arena II has been posted,
and I am very, very pleased about that. Long has this fight
eluded me how it will turn out. He underestimated her and
thought he was going to kill her; he thought he was dealing with
somebody that could not take his punches, and while they did not
feel good, she took them and acted when he made a mistake. One
of the few he has ever made in combat and it turned out to be
       his last.
The ramifications of this will be far-reaching for Wydara, for
better or worse. She will have the emperor's favor for pulling
off what nobody else could do. and what may come of the jealousy
of the other owners and what that might mean in the coming
       season.
We will find out in time. Welcome to new visitors, welcome to my
small corner of Krynn and after a long break, I am going to be
running some adventures with some of these characters and move
them into the next phases of the story.
I have been in context with Karnea's player, and hopefully,
sometime this week, we can pin down a date for our first session
back for Karnea First Chapter of her next campaign story.
I hope everyone has enjoyed themselves so far. They have been
fun to do. The Dragon War over Khur was something that took over
a year and a half to accomplish and involved many different
gaming sessions to be written down to be shared. I feel like I
am a bit of a roll now. I have been solidifying plans that I
laid the track for in my notes months and sometimes years ago.
So, who is next? I think between Talidaar and Lashia, I have
some things to do to clean up the ending. Have a Victory Party
for the Elves and a sorrowful funeral for those that were lost
in the Dragon War (Dragon Skirmish in the Dragon's eyes). Other
than that, Some Lucius is coming soon, and more of A Druid's
Tale II: The World of Man is coming. More Las in Ergoth, and
       Daera and Sator.

Behind the DM's Screen Vol. XI Current thoughts on the Game and

   DIR By: Dungeon Master
       Date: April 1, 2025, 5:14 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Greetings. I believe I am headed to bed. I have been working to
update the site, fix spelling and grammatical errors, as well as
fix some things here and there and make things more cohesive, if
that is even possible, and I say, with some due dillage and
combing through the lines of dialogue and story, I will iron
everything out, or make things worse. I hope for the better.
That is not all I have been doing.
The last several days have been spent polishing Chapter One of
Karnea Story Three. I have been preparing for each chapter after
that in varying degrees of being readied, and there are things
to be either created or found in the books or on the net, Also,
I have been moving characters across the board, getting people
to where they need to be for the next phase.
Aravis got a chapter, and Darius got a chapter, and they joined
Wydara, who also got a new Big Chapter. Each chapter is
important in different ways. I have long been remiss in leaving
Darius out on the Ocean, I had to get him closer. I have long
wanted to get Lucius on a Ship and headed in the right direction
since the last High Sanction of the White Moon. I feel like
there should be one more story for Aravis before Karnea
officially comes back into the picture on Aravis's timeline.
Things I see that are needed. I got a Chapter done for
Talidaar's A Druid Story The World of Man. Moving him and Kel
into place and it is really important for Talidaar. Some of the
most defining moments happen in this and the following chapters,
to build on his experiences he already had with the Elves. The
following chapters will lead him to his destiny.
A Victory Party and Day of Mourning for the Elves. Lashia and
Talidaar have to take things back to Karnea, and Talidaar and
Karnea are going to talk. Then Lashia is taking the Dwarves back
to Stone Dragon to get their friends, then she is getting some
things from home and heading to her Kids and Winter on Southern
       Ergoth.
Talidar and Lord have a final meeting, and then Rage is off to
do whatever Sargonnas wants him to do next.
Talidaar is headed for home to reopen Merwellyn Wood temporarily
until he departs for Southern Ergoth to meet up with his son and
       the Grand Druid.

So, there are some more characters that need to be slid into
       place to move forward.
But I must say it has been a real joy to revisit so many cool
scenes in our game that are immortalized and can be read.
When I am rereading Consolidation of Power Story II, my
experience is that there is a lot of information and things are
happening, the ground does not feel solid yet, still figuring
out what is going on. However, when Chapter Twelve, The
Artificers, rolls around, something is different. Everything is
clicking, and **** is just happening, and holy **** that is
being talked about and that. The story becomes something else
and something more as the Chapter goes on. There is attention to
detail. Everything is almost in its right place, and by the time
the Conclave rolls around and the Hit comes up, I am very
pleased at how it all comes together and moves into the final
part of Story Two. That's my experience, I don't know how it was
for anyone else. All I can say is sorry for the early, weak
chapters; I was still getting my feet under me. Again, I have to
start over after taking this long break.
Also, while I try to adhere to canon, the Ogre Titans and
Hengreiff already being dead are my worst sins that I have to
live with as a Sage of Krynn. I just did not know when the Ogre
       Titans took place.
Alright, Bed, and I am off. Take care.

Greetings, Wellcome to the Damn Forum.
I have been hard at work on a host of stories based on our game
so far; some have already been posted, and others are joining
the queue. Been slightly strange to write things that take place
in chapter thirteen, and chapter one has not even come out yet.
I am speaking of Karnea Story III. We are on the cusp of doing
chapter one. been doing last-minute refiguring of some things.
Taking a hard look at my order of events in the first ten gaming
sessions/stories and making sure it is the way it needs to be.
Lots of work last night was done on the next Wydara Chapter for
Story Two. The Next chapter for Story II Wydara is the Last
Games of the Season. I think it is nineteen matches held in the
Imperial Colliseum. The winner of each match will enter the
Primus at the end in a free-for-all battle Royale in a Ring of
Fire until there is one. Nearly all of Wydara's fighters that
are still alive and are fighting in this contest. A large part
of this morning was spent figuring all of that out.
The Story with Talidaar in a Druid's Tale II most recent chapter
is a homage to Kith's early adventures outside of Silvanesti in
Firstborn of the Elven Nations Trilogy.`Talidaar and this Slaver
Half-elf could be half brothers, though I do not think the hair
color lines up at all. Still, its an interesting issue to come
into Talidaar's mind. I never wanted to make a big deal of
Talidaar and Tanthalas "Tanis" ever being in a scene together in
the House of Solostarin. They each have their own journeys.
After the War of the Lance was fine for them to interact.
I suppose Talidaar does serve as a spiritual successor of the
Half-Elf middleground archetype in the grand scheme in
interacting with Porthios and Dalamar. It's an interesting
       notion.

Looking to bring Daera and Sator back into the game soon.
Speaking of which, slowly getting Lashia's story together and
looking to do an epilogue to the Dragonriders to close that off
for now. From this will grow a seed of building a dragonrider
order of Knights, consisting of Human Solamnic, and Elves.
Marilee has been though it. going to try to give her some peace,
put her with her sister in Ergoth, just for the winter.
Anyways, thank you for coming to the Forum. hope you are
       enjoying.

Behind the DM's Screen Vol. XI Some comments and a look at what
       is coming
   DIR By: Dungeon Master
       Date: April 8, 2025, 6:28 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
The World of Elves and the World of Man has been an idea in my
head for nearly thirty years. When Talidaar showed up in the
Dark Reaver Campaign, he was fully formed and created as a foil
because Lord Rage took over the reign of leadership of the
group. Who was going to argue with him? Talidaar was created
with the express purpose of standing up to Lord Rage, to argue
and not get killed in the process.
Talidaar's player is a masterclass role-player, and he and I
have talked about Talidaar before Dark Reaver. Some things were
set in stone. Some things are guideposts. We never settled on
things, but I wrote my ideas down. and what was then really
thin, generic ideas has been built up into meaningful, well
thought out whys and hows. We are just glad to share it with you
now as we slowly go through it.
Currently working on a few different things, seeing what I can
get done. Working on vol. 2 of the Hierophant as we move into a
different phase. Diplomatic brushfires have come to the fore and
lead them into a web of conspiracy of a dark problem that has
       just been festering.
Working on the ending of Lashia. Story One. Moving her on to a
new story, that of wintering in Northern Ergoth.
Working on Lucius's next chapter. I have a lot of it worked out,
and I have player notes. I might push to complete that tonight.
Wydara Story Two's next big thing is the Last Games of the
Season. A 19-match blowout that will lead to the Primus. A
Battleroyal in a Ring of Fire. I will be working on that for a
while, but the hard part is done of who is fighting who.
Next, Lord Rage will mark the goodbyes with the Half-Elf and the
       next mission.
Been deciding some DM stuff with the First gaming session coming
       up with Karnea Story III.
Anyway, take care, and talk again soon.
Coming back on to say I got a chapter for Lucius out, a little
one, but he is trying to learn about being on a ship. it will
serve him in the future. That is posted.
Lashia's Chapter Ten is very nearly complete. I need to game
with Adam for a few things to get Karnea's reaction, but the
body of the story is complete for an earlier game session for
Talidaar. I got to dig down a little bit between Marilee and
stepmother Lashia. I think I will love the memorial in Lashia
and do a segment with Speaker Gilthas with the memorial in there
       as well.
As I said. Karnea and Talidaar talk, mostly about Longshot, and
the meeting Talidaar was a part of with Dalamar and Portios.
Going to send him the roleplaying notes and let Adam change
anything he needs to before I post it. This has been the chief
thing I have been working on tonight, It is likely nothing else
will come out tonight as I am headed to bed very soon.
I will take this opportunity to welcome Ogre Library to the
       Forum.
       Goodnight everyone.

Behind the DM's Screen Vol. XI New Lashia Finale, New Tales of
Karnea are coming -Evil DM laugh
   DIR By: Dungeon Master
       Date: April 10, 2025, 12:57 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
       Greetings,
The Finale of Lashia Story One was posted tonight. It is a long
one. It crosses over with Talidaar's finale as well as ties up
some loose ends in regard to the ending of the Dragon War over
Khur. Lashia and Talidaar visit Karnea and talk about some
issues that have come up, like the meeting of three, and why is
Longshot not aging like Karnea. It's pretty funny to see
Karnea's responses. Adam was able to write Karnea's responses to
the roleplaying that was done earlier.
I have been in contact with the player of Karnea, and while we
do not have a game date yet, I have proposed to Adam about
writing about Karnea's old friend that she met in 383 AC. The
tiefling Talida that Karnea had a long evolving relationship
with over the period of time Krynn was missing. They broke up,
and Kanrea lost contact with her, something that has continued
       so far in Karnea's stories.
So being the evil DM that I am, I asked him what Talida means to
Karnea? We will see what he delivers. Expect these Tales of
Karnea to drop as we reach Chapter Five of the next Karnea
story. I, for one, am super excited. This is the only other
significant other of Karnea that we are aware of. Who is this
person? It has been a long-gestating idea that Adam and I have
had, and I am super interested in seeing how it all comes
       together.
Of Course, I came to this after the great fad rolled over
Dungeons and Dragons with all of the player races that are
available now. I maintain a strict adherence to the laws of
Krynn: no Orcs, no Werebeasts, no halflings, or Dragonborn. But
I have never had a tiefling character before, or in my game
before, and I am interested in testing this out and seeing how
it goes. Being that there is Demon and Devil outsider activity
in various stories, this is my first foray into this scenario,
and we will see how it goes. I don't think it will break
reality, but it will affect Karnea, and I want to see that
happen as a storyteller. I'm excited for all of you and my
players to see how this all plays out. I am excited about Aravis
finding out as I think she has zero idea about it and will also
be interested to see how Karnea reacts. How is all of this going
to affect the Master of the Black Robe? How is Nuitari going to
       react?
       It will be fun.
Not sure what else is ready to go out tonight. A lot of things
that were held up are moving again or ready to move. Aravis,
Wydara, Darius, Lucius, and Lashia have all been finished. Next
on the list, an ending to the Dragon War in Dragonriders and
Talidaar and Lord Rage's goodbye in the next Lord Rage. The
Wizards Coryn and Jenna, Las in Ergoth, these need to move. More
World of Man coming, wanting to start something with a Knight, a
Paladin, and a Priest of Good. I want to run a few good Knight
       stories.
       That's where we are at.
       Up next,
New Karnea Story III Vol. 1 Power Moves
New Hierophant Story I Vol. 2 A Politcal Conspiracy Thriller
New Lashia Story II Vol. 1 Wintering in Ergoth
       New Dwarves Story
       Goodnight.

Behind the DM's Screen Vol. XI a Look back at the Inciting
       Incident.
   DIR By: Dungeon Master
       Date: April 10, 2025, 1:46 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
I have been watching the Hierophant stories getting love and
views. In rereading the Inciting Incident. I realize the thing I
like the most about it is that it's kind of a Superman story
without Superman. Talidaar is actually in it very little, he is
mostly talked about. The Goblins are talking about him, the
Draconians are talking about him, and you are finding out about
Talidaar through these different sources, while time with him is
thin. It's not until later that we get the conversation with
Lashia and Talidaar. It was just an interesting choice that I am
looking back on and looking at with a critical eye. Other things
I do like is writing the voices for the goblins and Draconians
and giving credit to the Dark Crystal for its inspiration.
Either way, it makes Talidaar mysterious and scary.
Also, I wanted to introduce the idea that it might have been
Porthios that did it, who shot Marilee down to get Talidaar
involved. but it was a Red Herring. But you should have seen my
players' response. Just to be clear, he did not shoot her down,
but he knew when she told him Marilee was missing, what it
meant, that Talidaar was going to get involved, that's why he
       smiled.
The Lioness is easily a top-ten character for me. having her
come in was fun, and fun to bring her back to life. How can you
let a character like that languish? I don't know. Another
Character Jenna, She just fades away? No. They live on as
       non-playable characters.
Anyway, I'm going to go plan.

Been in a discussion with Talidaar's player, and it appears
there we have to rewrite some of the last chapter of A Druid's
Tale, Vol. 1. We both forgot about the other time Talidaar and
Kira met before Talidaar left to go into the world. So we are
going to work on that over the next week. Otherwise, things are
good on other fronts. We are getting ready for the new Volume,
the second trilogy of games we are doing.
Hopefully, this coming week, we will get together to game.
Writing this moment between Talidaar and Kira is meaningful.
Kira was my character so long ago. I have spent years talking
about her in the past tense for thirty years. Bringing her back
to life is sort of heartbreaking and cathartic at the same time.
I had left a three-year gap between Talidaar and his grandfather
leaving Qualinost, and then he leaves Qualinesti at the end of
three year gap. looks like I am exploring this three-year gap.
It is fun to write this. I imagined what Kira's backstory was
when I created her as a best friend of Lashia. That her was a
minor house but that the daughters were best friends and that's
how she was in the Speaker's house to begin with, with Lashia.
It's also been fun to write about Lashia's brashness in polite
Qualinesti society. She approaches Talidaar for her friend
because she is so brash. Going to work on this for a while and
       will have it up soon.
