Post One September 02, 2023
Whew. Seven Pages long for Karnea Chapter Nine. I am going to
spend the rest of the weekend on the Primus and hopefully, that
will be out by Sunday.
Nothing super groundbreaking, but this is a conversation that
had to happen before the upcoming Conclave. I think this
Conclave will be a first in my games. It is something I have
been planning for I just needed to get Karnea's House in Order
and nail down the Black Robe Members of the Conclave.
What I am really looking forward to is getting Jenna and Karnea
into the same room together. They have not had that much
interaction in my games before.
In truth, It will not be the first Karnea's Conclave in recent
times as she went during the Dark Disciple, when Jenna called a
conclave to talk about the threat of the Beloved.
Finally got to unload the Scrying artifact that Nuitari had been
working on from back in Side-Quest Part I. For a long time, I
have thought about the Red Robe that scrys the Taladas trilogy
from I believe the Tower of Nightlund in a few years in the
timeline.
a few lines of the tower descriptions come from the Dragonlance
Wiki.
The Tower of Nightlund is going to be a work in progress. I am
not sure how much gets done in the years of the Half-Giant War,
but there are plans for renovation over time.
But now in the home stretch of soon-to-be wrapping up Karnea
Story II. I think it was a huge success thus far. Have a sense
of several players among the Black Robe now. Well on the way of
accomplishing all the goals set forth at the beginning of the
Story Outline. Just have a couple more things left.
Had a really good gaming session, alas it was not that long, but
it was long enough to get some things accomplished.
Working on the Primus for Wydara. Trying to get it up tomorrow.
Also working on the Wildrunner conclusion.

Post Two The Primus September 03, 2023
Major accomplishment, I finished the Primus. Just four pages but
it was so hard. I had written elements of it over the days but
could not find my way to break the story, until 4:30 am.
Now I can get on with the other stories from the games. I was
not going to miss this self-imposed deadline.
I had to get into the arena and figure this fight out. Hand it
to Barret, he saved his partner's life and beat both opponents.
Well, as far as proving proof of concept, I think it went well
of capturing a snapshot of battles in the arena. They are going
to become more complex over time. I just need to get the hang of
it.

On a completely unrelated note. I already had Fiendish Codex I -
Hordes of the Abyss 3.5 Edition. But I saw that Drivethru RPG
had the MC8 Monstrous Compendium Outer Planes Appendix (2e) for
$2.99 so I picked the PDF. Never had this appendix before. I
have all the original Monster Manuals and Fiend Folio before TSR
changed the names of the Fiends. Future Karnea Stories in Story
IIIare going to be wild.
Post Three End of the Wildrunner September 03, 2023
Can we ever name a Queen from the past that is anything like the
Lioness? One of the best characters of the new age and one of
the reasons I have no wish to deviate the timeline. She does not
even have her own entry in the Dragonlance Wiki. Just treated as
a footnote. One of the coolest characters of the Dragonlance
Saga.
The Ending of the Wildrunner story. Perhaps one of my most
exciting stories is when the elves were not hiding. I really did
not know how they were going to get past the Dragon. It was
exciting to write, I kept wondering if they were going to make
it. I hope it was exciting to read. Any number of things could
have killed them, spiders, snakes, nomads, Dragons. I did not
want to be anti-climactic. But I think both of them earned a
right to go home. Using the Giants to take out the Dark Knight
Army was really fun to imagine in a scenario.
I like how their characters emerged more over the course of the
story and I think they both went through arcs for their
characters going forward.
The Titans are coming closer to the Inath-Wakenti. This is a
dangerous threat to the Elven Nation.
Okay. Next on my List of big events is the arrival to the Dragon
Isles.
That may come overnight or tomorrow.

Post Four Thoughts on Coryn, the Game, plans for the night
September 04, 2023,
Planning out Karnea Story Three, getting my ducks in a row.
Wrote some stuff for Coryn. Reread Wizard's Conclave by Douglas
Niles. I have the last book of Rise of Solamnia from way back.
Most of my stuff got thrown out by a deranged Roommate. The
first two Rise of Solamnia novels are on my list of things to
get... It brings somebody completely different to the static
dynamic that had been the Conclave for too long. She is like
Palin Majere at the beginning. His was a fast rise to the
Conclave.
Her character is fascinating as it develops, she becomes one of
the most important people in Solamnia. Not since Magius has that
been able to happen. I only wish Jenna and Dalamar were handled
better in the Wizard's conclave, both come out in a negative
light in my view. Between Wizard's Conclave and the Dark
Disciple Trilogy, that is what made me push Karnea into the
forefront. She is loved and trusted by Nuitari, and given a
choice in the matter, I think Nuitari would choose Karnea to
lead the Blacks Robes
Las in Ergoth is coming. Having a bit of a light day. Rogue
Knight of the Skull is coming.
The next big one is Dragon Isles on the Misty Isle. Someplace I
wish we could have gone in the novel The Dragon Isles.
Dalamar. I started to do something with him, he will reappear
when he has something important to say.
Sad that Wildrunner ended, bringing the total of finished
stories to Six or Seven. Been going at it since May when the
Forum opened. At least Five of those stories got a second story
and some become another story altogether. Still keeping things
coherent the best, I can. Not going off the rails yet. Once the
Battle in Talidaar is over, several stories can move forward,
just at a bottleneck at the moment with several stories. But
everything is advancing as it should be.
Anyway, going to start writing some stuff.

Post Five Planning and Writing Mode September 05, 2023
In planning and writing mode. I do not want to give false hope
that anything is coming out today. I Retooled Las in Ergoth
Chapter Seven and posted it.
But that is probably it. May even touch up Wildrunner's last
chapter a little.
I feel I need to point out that there are several different
Timelines going on in the Games right now. Karnea, Jenna, Coryn
are in 423 AC and Karnea is also in 421 AC. Talidaar is in three
different times 262 AC, 280 AC and along with everyone else in
429 AC
Over time I will bring the Mages to the Current 429. But for the
foreseeable future, I'm taking the Wizards slowly. Building back
up the orders.
The biggest thing right now is Return to the Dragon Isles
Chapter Six: The Misty Isle Aurialastican... also known as the
City of Gold.
Wydara: Blood and the Arena -Now things shift into a different
gear. The behind-the-scenes plots and plans, backroom buying and
trading, public exhibitions, and Private Parties.
The Plan is to Game on Friday Chapter Twelve: The Battle of Mt.
Thelalan with the Hierophant of Chislev and Master Karnea vs.
the Black Brood
Added in the Dragonlance Setting section: Dragons of Krynn.
Histories, Dragon Wars Dragon Codex and a near complete
accounting for the Dragonlance Novels and Game Material in the
World of Kyrnn section

Post Six New Stuff September 06, 2023
To update everyone on what I did last night on the site-
The History of the Dragons in the Dragons of Krynn section in
the Dragonlance Setting
Retooled Chapter Seven of Las in Ergoth, also The ending of
Wildrunner has been retooled into Part One. Part Two will come
sometime during the week.
The Chosen of Reorx is not so much a Prelude to much that goes
on in the Dwarf Home trilogy, as it is a necessary journey to
make lesser Dragonlances, since Thorbardin is closed to them.
Just have to go to Digfel first. A very different journey than
we have had so far. I have to go back into the Dates and change
a couple of things as this is taking place before the Hierophant
of Chislev Volume One. By a month.
Post Seven Plans for the Day and Going Forward September 07,
2023
Took an almost complete break yesterday.
I have a story I posted last night but have decided to take it
down and do more work on it. It has become necessary to tell the
story of the Fall of Samuval, which is a story that took place
just prior to the kickoff of the current Talidaar stories. An
important character is rising from the ashes of Digfel in the
Pages of the Chosen of Reorx.
The Order of Events goes as such-
424 AC Talidaar and his family depart Merwellyn and travel to
Eastern Ansalon to provide assistance to the Elven Nations.
The Occupation of Digfel by Baron Samuval
428 AC Talidaar and his family return to Merwellyn
The Fall of Samuval
429 AC Hierophant of Chislev -Start of Game on the Forum in
Volume One.
Going to be going back and telling some of these stories over
time. Just deciding how to go about it. Living with and
assisting the Elves is one of the biggest moments of the
Talidaar character, and that of the family members, so I am
choosing to not gloss over it and really going to go back and
and spend some time in that story.
I’m going to decide how I am going to tell the story of the
Occupation of Digfel and the Downfall of Samuval. I may put back
up the Talidaar: Recent History post again because it is a
decent overview of the time period before Volume One. Going to
spend some more thinking about it.
Hopefully Gaming tomorrow to finally finish Battle at Mt.
Thelalan. Something I feel like I have been promising for more
than a month. was not supposed to go that way. my apologies.
I got a story up about Coryn, it's very short, but I think I
have figured out my way into telling an adjacent story to the
Rise of Solamnia trilogy by using Coryn as my main protagonist.
She goes through some really important changes in the Rise of
Solamnia trilogy.
So, planning to get some stuff up to today, things are just
getting more complex in Ergoth, so things are taking a little
longer. Not as prolific as I was in the beginning, but I've been
writing almost nonstop since May 5th. 98,216 words last week
alone. It is my joy and privilege to do this. It comes from my
heart and my mind.
I don't want to just put out crap so I'm taking a little more
time with each story.

Post Eight Not Enough Dwarves September 08, 2023
Return to the Dragon Isles is moving along. Met two silver
sisters who are young and fun to write, but crazy to write.
Might be the first nice Dragons we have met in the game so far.
This city is a little hard to imagine. I mean are the streets
wide enough for dragons to walk down the main roads, are do they
take two legs and live in the city? I think it is somewhere in
between It is completely Dragon Friendly. Are all the buildings
gold-plated or are some of the buildings? All races live here
from some lucky Kender to Minotaurs and most races in between.
Though I do not think any Draconians live here.
Also, I did not get into it, but not just anybody can go to the
Dragon Isles. They are elusive and move on occasion, not phantom
illusions, but actually move. Mikal has learned there are some
fixed points, like the stars, and certain landmarks, such as the
Teeth of Chaos. Another thing that did not hamper their approach
or entry through the Veil was their Need. The sisters, Marilee
and Mikal all want to help the Elves. Not for greed, or
trickery, or malice.
The Chosen of Reorx
I looked at the game and thought, there are not enough Dwarves.
I think thus far we have had two. Palianess in Thick as Thieves
and Las in Ergoth of late. The other is Kol, of the Klar Clan in
Wydara: Blood and the Arena.
So, not enough Dwarves. Another thing I do not have enough of is
Priests. I have Druids, not hardly any Priests. Always good to
have a priest around. I don't think I have had one as a main
character before. Quite interesting writing with a character
with complete faith, also to have one as the main character.
While Tyros is interesting, the gang he picks up will be a
motley crew of death dealers. Hard drinking, hard living, hard
loving fellas.
Got another Coryn chapter done.
My next goal is Wydara sometime tomorrow. A victory celebration,
the gladiators get their fun and the house throws a party. Dress
to the nines, see you there.
I will post the Battle when and if it happens in Talidaar's Book
II. Will need some time to adapt it to story form.

Post Nine Finished the Battle at Mt. Thelalan was posted in the
Forum September 08, 2023
Gamed with Karnea's player and we finished the Battle Mt.
Thealaln, had to do Talidaar separately.
I told Karnea's player there would be no living with her after
what she pulled off this session. The ballsiest move I've ever
seen her take.
Anytime I can make Karnea's player pace or walk back and forth,
I know I am doing my job well. This goes back to the old days of
gaming in the pizzeria in my old hometown.
Expect the Battle write-up sometime this weekend. same with
everything else. Will drop the stories as they are finished. My
Big Three right now is Wildrunner Chapter Twelve Part II, the
conclusion. Wydara Blood and the Arena: Victory Party/Funeral
for Ragos, and more of the City of Gold in the Return to the
Dragon Isles.
Karnea's player will be writing her impressions of her visit
with Coryn, and her thoughts on her on a professional level. Her
thoughts will be expanded upon on her first apprentice Analis,
and the prospect of having to face her down to head off a
potential Wizard/Sorcerer Civil War. So, look for that.
Had a lot of fun this session. We had to hunt for some rules

Saved me a lot of work this
session, wish I had for the Minotaur Army session. May go back
and fix that Final Battle. Did not turn out the way I intended
in Horned Intentions.

The Magical barrier both saved them and made having warriors
there useless.
It was cool to end that story with a handshake between these
Porthios and Talidaar. It is why Talidaar wanted Porthios to be
involved. For them to finally work together on something, he
knew if they could just share danger together, it might break
the impasse that had long hampered their ability to communicate.
It's been nearly two hundred years in the making.

Post Ten Got some books and some sleep September 09, 2023
Hello all, I stayed up last night to finish the Battle at Mt.
Thelalan. Then I stayed up to receive my packages that were
coming in. Book One and Two of the Elven Exile Trilogy are once
again mine. I paid extra to get them, but it was well worth it.
All these third parties rehashing old adventures, I want a
Dragonlance sourcebook of the Warrior of Ergoth trilogy, A
source book about the Elven Nation trilogy, the Kingpriest
trilogy, and this, the Elven Exiles. So much new information
(new, fifteen years ago) to be incorporated into the Dragonlance
gaming sphere. Sourcebooks like the Legends of the Twins 3.5
book. That is what should come out.
I am back to what I said was going to do yesterday. Wildrunner
conclusion, Wydara Victory party, and Return to the Dragon
Isles, oh, and the Rogue Skull Knight. Those are the main ones
I'm working on for the rest of the weekend. One of the three
might show up tonight, maybe two.

Working on Return to the Dragon Isles, working on Las in Ergoth,
and more Wydara victory parties, Rogue Knight is in a tight
spot, so working on her. More Coryn, more Chosen of Reorx.
Somehow juggling all this and keeping things straight.
Finished the Wildrunner. It was a bloody end; their stories will
play out in the court of Gilthas Kanan for now. Next Chosen of
Reorx, everything comes into view.
Nothing more tonight, this morning. Just did a lot of writing
and researching.
Post Twelve Dwarves, Gladiators, and Games September 10, 2023
Sort of building on four stories at once. each of them are
tricky in their own way. Las in Ergoth and Wydara, Return to the
Dragon Isles, and the Chosen of Reorx. Constructing a cohort of
mixed-clan Dwarves is its own bit of trickiness. Lots of things
to consider. Names for example. Personalities, quirks,
advantages and disadvantages, weapons, beard length, helmets,
etc... It's even worse when it's Hylar and Neidar. Oil and
water.
I have also given thought to the fighting styles of the
Gladiators and for the purposes of having a frame of reference,
I think using the Roman reference allows us all to comprehend
what is going on and who is fighting and in what style. Can just
google any of the styles or any term you are not familiar with.
I will drop some links somewhere for the references I have been
using. So, as I said, I have been doing some thinking on the
subject. Ergoth was vast once up at the time.
Each of the Types of Gladiators represents a foe the Romans once
fought on the fringes of their republic and Empire.
Using that Same bit of logic, There are some of the Foes the
Empire has fought.
At least two Barbarian Tribes, maybe Three are denoted in the
Warrior of Ergoth trilogy.
Grasslanders Barbarian Tribe
Forest Barbarian Tribe
Plains Barbarians Tribe
Sea Barbarians
Pirates
The Western Island Chain
Minotaur
Mermen or Sea Elf -Nets and Trident
Elven Styles
There would be Ogres, Lizard Men, Goblins, Kobolds, and
Hobgoblins possibly in the Games as well.
Those are some of my thoughts on the matter. Would have to be
reasoned out further, but in an effort to start building a
Dragonlance-centric Gladiator class one of these days.
Going to try to get some stuff out and pause on the dwarves from
now. Working on Return to the Dragon Isles. Wydara and Las.
Will post over the night.
Return to the Dragon Isles is up. The Council of Wryms and the
first appearance in my game of a very famous person in this
form.
Return to the Dragon Isles is at a place where I can leave it
until I get Chosen of Reorx spun up and going. Going to be a lot
of work to get some people where they need to be.
I really enjoyed writing the Council of Wryms. Probably the best
look at who is on the council I had. Have not spent enough time
with them to fully get each personality down, but I know who
each one is, except Iliana. Somebody I have made. Not very many
living female Golds that I can find.
Anyway, back to work, I hope you all enjoyed the surprise
mystery guest at the end of Return to the Dragon Isles.
Las and Wydara's stories are up, with the conclusion of Battle
on the Mountain, Lashia is not back yet, so Talidaar wants to
make sure his kids are okay. There is more Wydara coming in the
coming week. Going to be focusing a bit on Chosen of Reorx,
Coryn the White, and plotting and planning the coming wars and
rumors of wars.
Most likely just writing Chosen of Reorx the rest of the Night.
I hope everyone liked the stories tonight. Slade is that guy you
want with you in a dark alley. Has more knives than you are
comfortable about. He is a finds-man, a Bounty Hunter by trade.

It was like right out of the scene from the 13th Warrior,
(Eaters of the Dead was a better name) but this was Dwarven
heroes, all waiting for their names to be called by a Priest of
Reorx. But the feeling and cheers from all around as the
champions are named and come forward to serve. Each step forward
when their name is called, feeling brave and proud to serve the
Maker.
That is all for me tonight. Will get more Wydara tomorrow, and
more Chosen of Reorx. Expect a post in The Royal Court of
Speaker Gilthas coming soon, addressing information learned from
the Wildrunner. Also, Rogue Knight of the Skull. Big fight
coming. It changes the dynamic slightly, But Talidaar is staying
around with Las for a couple of days or until Lashia makes it

Post Thirteen Monday Thoughts September 11, 2023
I had Three Hours of sleep. I don't know when I will lay down
for a nap. Sort of taking in the stories. I don't know why, but
I don't see issues in the stories until I post them. Somehow,
they just slide through my process to whittle down mistakes. But
they glare at me from the forum once they are up. I apologize
for the grammar and spelling sometimes.
Well, Monday Monday.
Okay, Tyros has a new name in the stories. Torin, I could not
live with Tyros any longer. Torin is a good strong Dwarf name
that came to me earlier, once I got some sleep. Now I don't have
to bang my head on my desk anymore. I hope everyone is happy
with Torin and that there are no tears for Tyros going away.
We will also get descriptions of the new dwarves that have been
chosen to go on their journey. Imagine this group had been
together for months before Marilee was shot down.
The important thing is I got some sleep. Not going to push it
tonight. I don't know that anything is coming out tonight. I
think I pushed too hard this weekend.
Just going to write and see what comes up. Not promising
anything tonight. Just going to do some thoughtful writing.
I have to say I like the conversation at the council with the
tall elf more almost every time I read it. He is not Fizban, but
Fizban is there.
I like Bale. Very unlike my other heroes. He has been
traumatized and I think we will see more of that over time. Life
is about to change a lot for him. The dreams are coming. Very
vivid God Dreams.
the next Rogue Knight of the Skull will come tomorrow. It's a
big confrontation Lydia is going to have to figure out how to
survive.
I very much I like the story unfolding at Wydara's villa over
the Training school. I have a background in Theater technical
crew and production work. Was nice to get paid to do something
you like. I always wanted to be a director, and make movies, but
that life never materialized. I've always been a storyteller.
Wrote creative stories in school. These stories are just coming
to me. It brought me calm and peace. All this that happened so
far is just preparing us to go off the map. 433 AC is one of the
last canon dates given in the Novels. A
Post Fourteen Productive night last night September 12, 2023
Greetings. I did a lot of reading, and researching, and did some
writing on three different stories.
I got the Dreams story up in Chosen of Reorx. The Classic
rejection of Bale's calling, and coming to a point where he
asks, can he really walk away from his God? I think Slade knew
him well enough to not go after him and let him decide for
himself. It’s fascinating to see that Slade and Torin have
become a strange pair. Slade might have more devout faith in
Reorx than Torin but could never be a Priest. But once Slade was
on board, he was in it to the hilt.
I also got a lot of work done on the Wydara Victory Party. Just
a little bit more to do to set up some intrigue and I will post
that story shortly. I also got work done on the Rogue Skull
Knight, which will be coming in a while as well.
I'm glad I bought the 3.5 Chronicles books because I really
thought I was going to have to buy and still might buy DL7
Dragons of Light (1e) (Which I should buy anyway.)
Angry I can't think of a way to secure the Hammer of Kharas. It
was never before used as an icon of leadership before
Chronicles. But that is the situation. So, I have to live with
it. and play around with it.
Will get the stories up. Going to start taking more days off to
prepare stories better. Getting sleep helps.
