Behind the DM's Screen Vol. X

Greetings,
Now that I have the foundations of Eris secured, I am switching
my attention back to Dragonlance and Krynn. I just needed a
little break. Working on these game sessions and working on the
stories. Meeting with the gamers this weekend. The Player of
Karnea is having some hectic weeks and I would say in the coming
weeks we might get back together and Do the first Chapter gaming
session for the new Story III but there are some things
somethings I want to get done, I need Aravis and Lucius to say
goodbye and I want to get Lucius out on his way. I also want to
do the next chapter session with Karnea Story One. I am going to
turn my attention to fixing the second chapter of Karnea Story
II.
But I want to focus on Wydara Story Two, Talidaar Story III, and
the Next Dragonriders chapter.
So that is my goal over the next couple of weeks for this site.
Thank you for your patience. New stories are coming.

Behind the DM's Screen Vol. X Relics and Omens
DIR By: Dungeon Master

I think I have figured out the code for the Talidaar Game. Will
see movement soon.
I bought a few Novels recently, the one I wish to discuss is
Relics and Omens" Tales from the Fifth Age edited by Margret
Weis and Tracy Hickman. Even a new Caramon story I had no idea
existed. The Story in particular I have mentioned the novel and
the story "The Restoration" before. I thought knew how things
played out in the story, but reading the story in full, it was
shocking in how it all turned out. It was exciting to sit down
and read the origin of Karnea's little problem that has been
building in the background the the Wizard Stories. The key is
conceding Karnea her small victories as her due as an Epic
Character. The other half is coming up with threats worthy of
her stature. The Dark One fulfills this threshold of a worthy
opponent. It would be evil to develop this threat against her.
He has already won several victories in this Post War of Souls
landscape, including suborning a former coven member of Karnea's
old inner circle.
Anyways. Going to work on the Dragon Battle, and Talidaar here
this weekend and maybe into next week. A few things left to game
out. With Summer Plans out of the way, now moving into getting
the kids into college time. Stories will be coming.

For those wondering how to join the game. First, the game is
free to play and read.
My Plans Almost the whole 429 AC game has led up to the Dragon
Battle of Khur and Talidaar, Rage, and Dalamar facing down
Vermomax a
A Red mate of Malays.
All of that is winding to a close soon. Talidaar has some
political situations to get into after and what comes after for
the Elves is a renewal and a rededication to taking back
Qualinesti. The War to Retake Qualinesti is a big next story
that so coming.
Big Dwarf Game coming soon.
Always need/want Wizards to fill out the Wizards of High Sorcery
Warrior/Fighters/Sell Swords are needed.
A Big adventure is coming for 430 AC
Beyond that, The Minotaur Invasion

Behind the DM's Screen Vol. X Been a little while. Starting
with the Air Battle

Had a minor health scare, and I needed some time to see if I was
okay, but I am okay. I am better now. Just needed some time to
recover from birthing Eris.
Let's see, Dragonlance books I have consumed since posting last.
I have talked about the Second Generation Hardback I was able to
get online. For some reason Second Generation and Doom Brigade
were cheaper than the paperbacks, go figure. There have been
some of these novels I never took the plunge and dived in. I
kind of avoided the Doom Brigade for some reason in the past. My
goodness, what a great book. I finished in a day and a half. And
so I found myself routing for the Draconians, mission
accomplished. I have previously read The Chosen One, Book One of
the Kingpriest Trilogy a while back, but I have been devouring
The Devine Hammer, Book Two of the Kingpriest Trilogy. It was
everything I hoped it would be, a Dragonlance Masterpiece. To be
taken down onto the Street level of this time period is pure
insanity. The burning and enslaving of Neatral Priests and the
destruction of their Temples was heartbreaking. To see the
Wizards of High Sorcery of this time on living on the edge of
oblivion. Chris Pierson is one of my favorite writers for
Dragonlance. So much worldbuilding, built upon what was already
lain down by Tracy Hickman and Margaret Weis, I have never read
the Tales set around Cataclysm, so I do not know exactly who
else contributed to the lore of Istar from before, but I have a
PDF file about Ancient Krynn by Jeff Grubber, (another great and
important architect of Dragonlance). This file contains the
information he and Chris Pierson hammered out about almost
everything you could want to know about the Empire of Istar and
have always found it to be an important document of the history
of Krynn.
I accidentally ordered Book Two of the Minotaur Wars. The next
book I am ordering is The First Book of the Trilogy.
So, I have posted the First Chapter of the Dragon Battle over
Khur. I have to think about how I am orchestrating the timing of
this Battle in relation to what is happening on the Ground with
Talidaar, Lord Rage, and the Red Dragon.
So I think expect another Chapter of the Air Battle before the
next Talidaar and Rage Chapters.
The Post tonight entitled First Contact is the opening Chapter,
the setup. the pieces are all in place. Let the Gore in the Sky
begin.
There is a bunch done on all the stories in the hopper. The Next
Talidaar, the Next Rage, The Next Wydara, the Next Zeva, The
Next Aravis, and Prince Lucius.
It is a matter of time, I have to get with Adam (Player of
Aravis) and Robbi (Player of Lucius) for them to say their
goodbyes and get them on their way apart. The Game has already
played out with Talidaar and Rage, it's just a matter of getting
it all down. Also gaming the next chapter of the Air War.
A lots is planned, a lot is written, just have game it all out.
Comming soon.

Behind the DM's Screen Vol. X Just some Notes for the Day.
DIR By: Dungeon Master

---------------------------------------------------------
Hello All,
Going to be working on stuff, I have been in contact with
players, and hopefully soon we can get together on Discord.
Reading the beginning of the Lost Battles in the Devine Hammer
Novel, again, everything I ever wanted shows up in this novel.
I need to note the influx of new visitors to the site. At the
beginning of this last week, Wydara had been Nine views behind
her baby brother, but now, her first game story has blown past
him into the stratosphere, becoming the second most-read story
on the Forum.
I am so proud of the Wydara game story, It was one of the most
challenging Games to set up with creating Gladiators, enemy
gladiators, neutral gladiators, and trainers at the different
schools. Hardly any information about Gwynned. I have culled
info from across the Sourcebooks to build a city from the ground
up to serve as the backdrop to our game. I do not think there
are hardly any novels that depict this part of Ansalon. In the
space of a week, this story has shot up 70 views. Thank you
everyone.
Thank you for the loyalty you have shown coming back here to our
forum, and welcome to the new visitors, welcome.
My output has decreased because I have written myself into very
complex situations and it has caused the players to think hard
about how they are going to deal with these situations. I have
had to think about how I am presenting them to the players and
the public.
I think the hard part is over for Talidaar, Rage, and the Red
Dragon and for the Dragon Battle. Wydara remains a situation
that is going to be a bloody mess and we are trying to figure
out this battle between the northern barbarian and Wydara.
The sooner I can get this battle done with Wydara, the sooner I
can get back to get Gladiator matches and training Wydara's
niece.
I will be around, working on Dragonlance today and tomorrow.
Cheers,

Behind the DM's Screen Vol. X The Enemy Revealed- Chapter Six
of Damara Ambrodel, Story Two the Dragon Riders
DIR By: Dungeon Master

The Enemy Revealed- Chapter Six of Damara Ambrodel, Story Two
the Dragon Riders
Nearly a Year and a couple of months we are finally at the point
that I plotted and planned is near to fruition. The Dwarven
Quest to the Silver Arm and Stone Dragon Monument. The Forging
of the Lances and the voyage back to the Dragon Isles have all
led us here to this next point, which constitutes the last
chapter Before the Dragon Battle. A Huge undertaking to prepare
for and conceptualize and plan out how I want things to go, vs.
How the gamers will choose what to do given the scenario I have
tied up. The Next chapter is going to be one the most chaotic
and violent things I have attempted to capture into works
outside of the Gladiator Games I write about in Wydara. This
will be a violence I have never captured in words before. The
slamming together in sheer force, teeth jar, and the Dragon
crashes into each other, raking their claws and getting stabbed
by lesser Dragonlances in the heat of battle.
I wanted to showcase the Knights a bit more No heroes have
emerged. yet.
So, That is on the agenda. I think I am going to have to write
out the Battle and post it when we game it out. Then I will post
Talidaar and Rage's next chapters.
In the Devine Hammer, I am reading about the Lost Battles before
the Cataclysm. The Fall and explosion emanating from the
Heartchamber of the Towers of Daligoth and Losarcum, the
subsequent destruction of part of Daligoth, and the utter
annihilation of the Ancient Stone City of Losarcum that we only
know as the Ruins. Ever since Dragonlance Adventure, I always
wanted to know about the Ruins and oh my gosh, oh my gosh, I
just watched in my mind's eye, reading the fall and destruction,
it is just amazing this series exists at all. Anyway,
Thank you and goodnight.

Greetings,
I wanted to let people know, that I am still working on The Next
chapter of Dragonriders, I hope to have it out soon. Took some
time to read The Kingpriest Trilogy. I knew it was good, but I
had no idea how good it was. Good is not even the right word for
it. They are Masterpieces and the best written Trilogy in
Dragonlance. I am so inspired by what Pierson was able to do.
I was reading through Karnea last night and there was a melding
of reality, like, some of Karnea story II is so good I can't
believe I wrote that or came up with all the stories and plotted
everything out. Just hard to believe I did all this sometimes.
But I could not do it all without the players putting so much
into their characters.
Once this Dragonriders story is out, I can drop the other
stories, in a bit of bottleneck at the moment.

Hello All,
Currently, I am in the middle of the Dragon Battle over Khur.
Everything has gone to hell and people are fighting for their
lives.
Sad things are happening, brutal events are being put down to
the page. I need to do some more over with Talidaar and these
will be posted soon. Maybe a couple more days, These are huge
events and I want to get everything right.
It is chaotic and things happen out of nowhere because we are in
a 4D Battlefield over Khur.
So there Is a bunch of riders I have to account for, All these
Dragons, I hope people like it and hope it comes out okay. I had
hoped I would get some gamers to play Knights but not at this
time.
I am writing and looking things up and hard at work on this. It
will go up in a few days.

Behind the DM's Screen Vol. X UPDATE for 19/6/24
DIR By: Dungeon Master

---------------------------------------------------------
The Dragon Battle over Khur is 94% finished, I'm just ironing
out some final moments, and am going to polish everything these
next few days to make sure everything is right.
I have also finished Hierophant of Chislev Story Three Chapter
Seventeen: Vermomax The Red. Going to take me a couple more
days to check over it and make sure everything is right.
I made a huge stride in composing the stories this last week. I
just need to add some layers to the proceedings. Dirty things up
a bit.
Nearly all the Game sessions so far have led to these two
Chapters. It has held me up for quite a long time, I am happy to
report that they are very close.
So, if nearly everything has led these chapters, what else is
there to read, or care about, or look forward to? I have been
dropping plot hooks across the stories.
Talidaar has a full plate after his dealings in Khur.
It was important for me to have Talidaar back in Inath-Wakenti
to show how time and life have changed for the ELves since 262
AC A Druid's Tale: The Story of Talidaar Volume I.
I think the Elves are going to count their blessings if they
make it through this Battle and the Warriors will head to
Abanasinia to begin the War to Retake Qualinesti.
And on the Karnea side of things, We are telling the story of
Story One of how Karnea rose to Power and we are going to be
starting off Story Three in another month or so.
Telling this game to get Talidaar, the Dragonlances, and Dragons
to this point has taken over a year to get us to this point and
this part of things will be coming to a close soon, but we are
continuing some threads to see where they take us next.

Behind the DM's Screen Vol. X Update for 10/10/24

---------------------------------------------------------
Greetings,
I hope everyone is surviving. I have had to go back and do some
revisions because I forgot something big. I hope to finish
things this weekend and post.
I think I have a meeting with Karnea's player on Friday. We are
going to knock out some gaming for Lucius and Aravis and cover
the time period in which Karnea is still gone to the City of
Lost Names for Aravis and Lucius and I think we will cover for
Story One and some things in preparing for Karnea Story Three.
I have trouble believing over a year ago I envisioned getting to
this point in the game and all the gaming and stories that it
has taken to get us to this point. I am sad Karnea is not a part
of it at all, but she can't be a part of everything and it was
right for Dalamar to take the lead on this one.
On the Book Front, I have finished the Kingpriest Trilogy,
Ordered Book One of the Minotaur Wars, and The Last Thane.
The Last Thane was a Novel I previously owned, and really
enjoyed Last Thane and Dark Thane and the newest Dwarven
trilogy. I am currently reading Dragons of an Hourglass Mage.
Okay, going to get back to work on things.
Take care and hopefully, things will be out this weekend.
