The Children of the Dragon Queen

The Children of the Dragon Queen
Chapter One: The Play
The Abyss
The Goddess of the Seas and Storms walks through what appears to
be the Kingpriest’s Temple of Istar on a vast plain, surrounded
by Mountains. She stands among the ruins of a city of Darkness.
shifting through broken pieces of pottery and refuse. Getting
more irritated by the second. She passes through arches and
walks through the shells of buildings. It appears a dream that
is being forgotten over time.
Zebolim is on a mission of personal benefit, looking for any
trinkets or treasure of a certain kind. Artifacts, icons, lost
relics. She has searched high and low to gather what she can,
she realizes she is not alone and is instantly infuriated. “What
are you doing here?”
The room shakes, shifts, and settles. Dust drops from the
ceiling supports.
He is darkly handsome, with black hair, pulled back. He has
black tall boots, and a debonair swashbuckling black shirt, with
red and white accents.
“Now, now sister, Let’s not bring the house down on us with one
of your tempests.”

“You are why I’m not finding anything of Mother’s. You’ve
already collected and picked the bones of our inheritance."
Zebolim accuses.
Nuitari smiles and jests “You are just being dramatic. Of
course, I haven’t gotten everything, I’m more than willing to
leave you the scraps.”
“Careful brother, I’m of a mood.” Zebolim answers darkly.
“As ever my sweet sister. This is not entirely a social visit,
though I do treasure our short visits now and again. I have
business to discuss.” Nuitari answers.
“Go on.” His twin allows.
“You and I are not the only ones on this hunt. Our dark
brethren also swipe up our Mother’s Dark Gifts. As the High God
has taken the Relics, Our Dark Mother’s Icons are some of the
most powerful items left on Krynn. Do you really want Hiddukel,
Chemosh or The Dark Wind (Morgion) and even worse our Father,
who acts like he doesn’t care, but is on the hunt as well.” He
pauses to make sure she is still following along, then goes on,
“We have our minions, as does he, but his Devils are fast, and
know exactly what to get.”
It just made her mad. “Damn him!” The Goddess of the Sea and
Storms lets out.
“It’ simply inevitable. I will not serve under the others, or
even you my ill-tempered sister. No, we just have to figure out
how to deal with him, we have the inside track after all. Much
as I hate to accept it.”
“We are related."
“Entirely so.” Nuitari states dryly.
“You know we aren’t the only one that were her kids.” Zebolim
asks conspiratorially.
“You speak of our half-siblings, the demigods she begot. Haven’t
they all been destroyed by now?” The God of Dark Magic remarks,
almost disinterested, until he is. “Why do you ask exactly?”
“I may have heard our brethren were interested in the concept of
absorbing their power." She answers in hushed tones.
"Now where did you hear that? Nuitari asks. No, fine don’t tell
me. Keep your secrets sister and I will keep mine."
“Fine, its was Hiddukel.” His dark Twin answers unhappily.

“And you believed him, he is the trickster god, you know that
right, the God of Lies.” Nuitari laughs.
“Stop laughing at me. What if it is true?” Zebolim asks.
“It isn’t. Don’t be soft.”
Zebolim explains the process as it was explained to her.
Nuitari comes away thinking of Vampirism, the Ogre Titan
creation process, or Draconic cannibalism the Overlords
practiced. Unnatural. It may not seem plausible, but that
doesn’t mean it’s not possible. But something isn’t right. This
doesn’t sound like the work of the Prince of Lies, this is
Morgion thinking these dark plots up in his Brass Tower.
“How far along is this theory to becoming a fact? Nuitari asks
his sister.
“They are hunting a demigod now. They are close.“ She answers.

The Children of the Dragon Queen Chapter Two: The God of Dark Ma

The Children of the Dragon Queen
Chapter Two: The God of Dark Magic
The Ethereal Sea
The Grey
Nuitari returns to the swirling grey clouds of the Grey, and
there is a reflection of the Tower of Blood Sea Tower. It is an
anchor point that Nuitari has created that is tied to the Blood
Sea tower on Krynn. It allows him to pass between the two
easily.
He is mystified by what to think of his sister’s grand story. It
sounds like Morgion and Hiddukel are involved somehow, and that
they are close to tracking down a test subject. He could not
find out who. He tried to tease it out of her, but to no avail.
He runs down the list of “Children” of the Takhisis in his mind
that he knows of.
Artha, whom he thinks may be dead.
Khardra, He thought this one was dead too.
Malfesus He does not know where this one is
And the Handmaiden. This one is still trapped in her demiplane,
last he knew.
So that narrows it down. But what if it is another demigod they
are after?
He strains to recall the Beastlords and the Avatars of Gilean.
He stops dead in his tracks.
Long have the Dark Gods wanted Aravis* for their own. Have they
found her? Nuitari is not weak. He thinks of his mother’s
betrayal, he remembers how he mocked Chemosh over his weakness
over the slip of a girl that was Mina.
No, it is not a weakness; I just have to make sure.
He calls for Ksetti and Culgu, two of his Rakshasa followers.
“Go to the City of Doors,” He hands them a Black Key. “Go to
the Lower ward, Door AA62T. Before you approach the Door, watch
for anyone following you. You have to be absolutely sure. When
you are positive nobody is witnessing you, go through the Door
and wait a couple of hours and make sure nobody has followed you
through. Then proceed to The Third planet, Soreel. Always be
aware you might be leading trackers straight to her, so do kill
anyone that you might remotely be suspicious of. Aravis means a
great deal to me, and her mother. Make sure she is okay,
remotely if you can, from a distance if you have to, but confirm
she lives.”

The Children of the Dragon Queen Chapter Three The Reveal
By: Dungeon Master Date: October 23, 2023, 7:38 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
The Children of the Dragon Queen
Chapter Three The Reveal
Lightning flashes across the sky, and a storm churns about an
Island Keep.
An Island beyond the northwest Ansalon
Storm’s Keep
The Goddess of the Sea and the Storms arrives at the Castle Keep
of her now-deceased Son and his Order of Dark Knights
Zebolim comes home to Storm’s Keep laughing, stopping every few
steps to catch herself. Oh, dear Brother, however smart you are,
you are still so dumb and predictable. I don’t need to go to my
crystal ball to see that he is already making plans to bring
dear little Aravis home. Yes, she will be protected by Mommy
(Karnea), but Aravis will be on Krynn. That was only step one.
We shall do what we can to dislodge her from Mom. Pull the right
strings at the right time.
She walks to the map table, intricately carved from a vallenwood
tree. The elevations of the mountains are all correct, to
scale. She walks around the table, running her hand over where
her son’s hand must have touched a million times before he
launched his War.
I can’t be directly implicated in this; I will have to make sure
the agent knows what to do. Her Avatar becomes a mist and
evaporates into the sea.

The Children of the Dragon Queen Chapter Four Success

---------------------------------------------------------
The Children of the Dragon Queen
Chapter Four: Success
Krynn
Far beyond the Northwest of Ansalon
Storm’s Keep
Zebolim exits the North Sea and climbs the steps to Storms’s
Keep. She enters and heads for the bowls of the keep and calls
for her Hags to attend to her. They leave their current post of
looking into the Eye (an orb of seeing).
One of the hags comes forward and tells the Goddess of Seas of
Storms that she witnessed the child the Goddess has been
seeking. The child stood before your altar on the Isle of Dark
Wizards.
Zebolim just laughs and laughs. “It worked. I scarcely believed
they could actually pull this off. The plan of plans. But they
have done it. The Prince of Lies will be pleased with himself
no doubt.” She tells the Hags to keep watching and leaves the
bowls of the keep. She of course will have to tell him
eventually, they had a deal after all, but for now, she is just
going to savor it for herself.
So now all we do now is to just...wait...
But she has never been able to be that patient She looks out to
the stormy sky and her mind drifts, plots tumble in her mind,
and the sea churns. She laughs out and dives into the ocean.

The Children of the Dragon Queen Chapter Five The Prince of Lies

By: Dungeon Master Date: March 24, 2024, 5:27 am
---------------------------------------------------------
The Children of the Dragon Queen
Chapter Five: The Prince of Lies
Northern Blood Sea
Zebolim makes sure her agent knows what to do and how to alert
her when the deed is done. The figure swims off from the Cave.
Zebolim will bring storms to cover the event. Now she must let
fate take its course. Not being one to micromanage, she has
commitments to adhere to, and she is already behind.
She swims to her Grotto in the Abyss and swims through the dark
abyssal seas to the Abyssal representation of Palanthas. It is a
dark mirror to the actual place on Krynn. This is the home of
the Prince of Lies. She passes Glabrezuor (type III demons), who
were tanar'ri that specialized in the temptation of mortals,
spreading corruption unseen like a virulent disease. Unlike
succubi, who preyed on lust, glabrezu exploited the mortal
desire for power in the many forms it took. Their forms were
varied as ever, spreading their corruption wherever they showed
up.
Her destination is the Den of Sorrows, his underground club.
There are chains of varying lengths everywhere, all hanging from
the ceiling.
She passes by more poor slave souls and various demon masters
and continues until she comes inside the club. It is filled with
obscene debauchery amid demons taking bets on affairs in the
Prime Material.
She enters his back room, where Hiddukel sits on an intricately
carved throne of ivory surrounded by his court of Marilith
Demons (Also known as type V demons), who were serpentine,
militant tanar'ri known for their ability to utilize cold logic.
Succubus fiends exist to seduce and tempt mortals and ultimately
slay them and take their life energy back to the Abyss.
“Ah, the Queen of Storms, welcome back my friend, though you are
a bit late.”
Zebolim smiles and simply says, “It took a while to be able
confirm whether it worked or not.”
Hiddukel buries his long-standing hatred of people who think
they are being cute and asks, “Well, did it?”
“The daughter is indeed back on Krynn. I did not think they
could pull it off. You’ll have to pay them now.”
Hiddukel waves his hand in a dismissive gesture. “Yes, yes. So,
she is at the Tower of Blood Sea. I’m sure you already have
people moving into place. I’m sure you will remember the rest of
our deal should you prove successful in any future endeavors.”
Zebolim becomes defensive. “Of course, I’ve held up my side of
the bargain.”
There is whispering to the Prince of Lies by a prominent
Marilith Demon, and the Prince of Lies says, "yes, yes, right,"
and to Zebolim, Hiddukel says, “Mercy here is right. You did
sign the contract, you know the rules if you renege.”
Zebolim stands defiantly and says, “I won’t renege. We have a
deal”.
