Important announcement about the site.

I have a few things I have to say about this website.
One- I love y'all very much. Y'all are like family, and it's
because of that I feel comfortable enough to say this.
This site will never work out unless we get more member. It's
literally Chorrol minus Liz, and I don't like that. I've been
working very hard to get this site to work better, and have met
with a website designer to get it to look exactly how I want,
and for that to work, I will have to dish out $300 (277.44
euros, I think) out of my own pocket.
But from what I'm seeing, it won't be worth it. No one is even
trying to bring traffic to the site besides me. Y'all have even
admitted to not really wanting to help in that area if you have
to go out of your way to do that. And honestly, that hurts my
feelings quite a bit. What's the point of having the site if
y'all just come here because Chorrol isn't busy?
In case it isn't too clear on what I'm saying, I want y'all to
try harder to recruit. If you're on Bethesoft, message your buds
to join. If you know people on other forums who like ES, invite
them. Real life, same thing. Facebook, same thing. Because I
don't think it's fair that everyone complains that there's no
one here, but nobody but myself is trying to get new people in
here. And I'm starting to not even see the point of having this
website and making sure everything runs okay and getting on if
nothing happens, if no one new joins.
So, there's my two cents. I really just want help with this.

I don't have very many friends in real life, even fewer who
share my interests. As many do, I seek out like-minded
individuals on the internet and socialize with them about them
there.
I remember when Chorrol was called waiting4oblivion, and was a
member of the site then, nearly ten years ago now. Now, I only
stop by once in a great while; for many reasons, most of them
painful.
As is, I haven't played Skyrim since....I can't remember when it
has been so long. Maybe earlier this year. But, the Elder
Scrolls aren't really an interest for me anymore. If it's
getting and recruiting people you want, I'm not your man.
If it's help you need financially, I'll certainly see what I can
do, which is: again, a matter of many factors.
People stop by here when many are posting, yet when the same
people expect some back and forth....well. You get what you
give.

I'd love to help out Liz, but I really can't help recruit for
the site. I just don't have the options.
I don't do social networking, so I'm not on Facebook or
anything. I can't try recruiting over at Bethsoft, in case it
ends up with one of those from Over There finding their way
here. And here, Bethsoft, and Chorrol are pretty much my online
hangouts.

You don't even have to maintain the site you use to advertise.
Just stick the link to this site somewhere where to think it'd
be noticeable (hell, I know it's tacky, but make sole flyers for
the site with the link if you can and stick them in public
places, if we're lucky someone will take it seriously lol)

Sorry to hear that your site isnīt what you wanted, Liz. I hope
you understand that some of us simply donīt have other places to
go to and others to talk to. Weīre not helping you because we
donīt want to, itīs basically because we canīt.
The only places I go to are Bethsoft, chorrol and here, and the
same people are on all those sites. Plus a few more people, yes,
but I think that for a recruit to be successful we have to reach
other places that arenīt connected to those other two. Facebook
is a great place maybe, but like Th0rnyboy I donīt touch that
place with a ten-foot pole.
I hope youīre not too bummed, Liz. We all love you too and I for
one am still glad you invited me :)

The only sites I frequent are here, Chorrol, and a plethora of
gun related websites that I barely post on.. I even cut ties
with Bethsoft forums years ago. It is hard to be selective
about recruitment (maintain a good atmosphere) and still build a
large userbase.

We're no better equipped to recruit than you are: We have the
same, if not less skills in these areas. This 'negative'
reaction on our part that seems to be perceived from your end is
nonexistent. We're speechless because we *WOULD* like to help:
if we're able.
The car just broke down? I'm not a mechanic, I can call one.
The Red-Shirt on our Away Team just died? Dammit, Jim! I'm a
Doctor, not a-- oh, right!
Do you see where I'm coming from? I'm not saying that you *Have*
to do everything by yourself, and it's certainly a better state
of mind when a person can admit that something is beyond their
capabilities and is willing to ask for help. However, there was
never an intention to hurt you on *anyone's* part that is part
of our current roster.
Indeed, at least on my part I was; and still am, willing to come
here and help out in the ways that I *can*. I told you in my
previous reply why I'm not the man for the job: I don't know
anyone...I don't frequent other sites, and I don't know how
recruiting is done in general.
If you'd like the bigger, snazzier site, I support you in that
as well. However, you can't delegate the responsibility of that
to others and than feel hurt when someone let you down with it.
I've made this point many times here and other sites: Taking
responsibility for what you think, say, and do,....and in this
case, want, is what gives you your power to make it happen and
to change it.
Blaming (harsh word, I know but you also know where I am coming
from) is giving that power to others, making them responsible
for the ills and shortcomings in your life. Only one thing is
under our control in life: ourselves.
I'm sorry if you feel hurt....but I can't change that. It's not
within my sphere of control. I can speak my mind, offer you the
words on my mind and heart, and try to give you a big
metaphorical hug so I can try and squeeze all those negative
feelings and tears right out 'a ya....but that's all I really
can do...

Guys how is sharing a web link hard I don't understand all you
have to do is post it somewhere where people will see it lol.
Almost any place will do.
