Callidus, Trey, what platforms do you guys play on? Only I've
just got the PC edition of BL2 (damn you Steam sale, you
temptress!) and I'm looking for a buddy to play through it with.

I am on the xBox 360... so no help there....
       At least I don't THINK there is cross-platform co-op......

       360 here, too.
Fired up a game with Axton.
       Gotta love that turret ;D

You have both disappointed me. The retribution for this shall be
       great and terrible.
Not yet got BL2 installed on the laptop just yet (I don't plan
to play it until I've done Burial At Sea Episode 2) but I'm
planning on rolling with Krieg. I play best when loaded up with
shotguns and getting in people's face, so he looks perfect for
       that.

Looks like we had our copies first :P
Does this mean we now need to seek retribution for your
       unwarranted threat of retribution? ;)

I've always preferred to work at range. I doubt I'll ever start
a game with Krieg. I only got him because it was included in the
       GOTY.

I monumentally suck at sniping, so I generally find characters
like Krieg and Salvador work best for me in shooters. That said,
I do plan on playing Zer0 on the Bloodshed tree sometime; I
played that on a friend's copy once and it was a lot of fun.

Borderlands 2 isn't really built for sniping anyway, enemies
tend to spawn too close. I suspect that's why Zer0's sniping
tree is designed the way it is. From a straightforward one shot,
one kill perspective, it's pretty contradictory and clashes with
       itself. Unlike Melee Zer0.
Funnily enough, Krieg and Salvador are the two characters I have
no inclination to play as. I had reservations about Axton too,
but that turret of his is just insane, particularly if you find
a nice chokepoint to deploy it in.

Trey (Zer0) is working through the Tiny Tina DLC. Getting a Bee
shield has made it much more survivable.
       Clap-Trap has some... interesting... side-quests....
I want to get Zer0 to probably level 50 before tackling the raid
       bosses (Hyperius and Pyrocaustic Pete)
Then there is "You Will Die- Seriously"...
And a need to get Gaige to finish the Firehawk part.
So much playing to do, so little time....

Been playing with Krieg over the last few days, just done the
Top Gun sidequest in the Dust and I'm finding that, after a
rather shaky start, I'm really warming to him.
Most prevalent thing I'm finding at the moment is that I'm
dying. Like, a lot. I don't remember Borderlands being this
lethal before, so either Gearbox upped the lethality with a
patch at some point or I'm still playing in the same style as my
Salvador build where I could soak up bucketloads of damage.
Admittedly, it doesn't help that I'm playing the Mania build,
where vulnerability to damage is the main tradeoff for increased
attack power, and where you get perks for a low health bar and
taking damage, but when a fight goes well, it goes really well.
In addition to that, his Buzzsaw Rampage power is absolutely
spectacular, and I'm finding I'm hacking apart Badass enemies
and most bosses with only a few hits. It works best against
large mobs of lower-powered enemies (Krieg still takes the same
damage while rampaging) where a rampage attack is usally a 1 hit
kill which restores your health bar, but it's great for ripping
chunks of out boss enemies' health bars, provided you can get
       into melee range.
A lot of fun, in all, and I'm looking forward to seeing where I
can go with the higher-tier perks.

Felt the urge to play a shooter recently, so I fired this up
again. Playing as Maya, because Axton got kind of boring, and
phaselock never stops being amusing. And cool. :)
