I personally like metal, classic rock, punk, and some rapcore
(stuff like Hollywood undead)

The types who wear weird clothes and listen to obscure bands in
order to be ironic in a trendy and smug way and will talk a lot
about how non-mainstream they are as a kind of fashion
statement. Typical marker are chunky non-prescription glasses
with large square frames.

I'm not really sure I can vote on this one, I don't so much go
by genre as by whatever I think sounds good, and according to
the genre list on my MP3 player, I'm all over the place on that
front lol.
When you've got Taylor Swift, Jimi Hendrix, a couple of indie
compilations, Gorillaz, and the Buffy the Vampire Slayer cds (to
name but a portion of its contents) on your MP3 player, you know
your taste in music is pretty much frakked ;D
