Oooooh Kaaaayyy... :-\ ...
Fair enough...Well, I like it... :) ...
Maybe I just don't find that sort of thing
matters...*Shrug*...Hey-ho...At least you gave it a go and all
that...

To each their own...
Lets face it, if we all played games for the same things there'd
be no variety in them.

Oh, no...I agree...I'm just always stunned when I see other
people's opinions of stuff I've loved and I seem to have
completely missed something, somehow... :D ...
I absolutely love to the power of infinity how completely
awesome(tm) these characters are...I love the fact that you can
kill 20 redcoats at once and be none the worse off at the end of
it...That's pure fun, right there that is...
But then, I can't be arsed with challenge...Hence the lack of
chasing the pages for hours on end...
Oh, you can get killed...Easily...You never got to the
wolf-hunting bit, or the mountain lions, cougars...Them's
bastards thems is...
Oh, and it sounds like we're back in the immersion debate
thingy... ;D ...I'm playing a game, I know I'm playing a
game...Therefore, anything in the game mechanic that makes you
go..."Yeeeeeah, of course..." as in, the bushes thing...I care
not a single thing...
Like you said, kinda, different horses for different courses...

Well, am now beyond the Carnivale bit...Have moved on to a
different sequence...Not sure what number, but it's the one
where you can access the Templar vault in the Arsenale...
I think that means it's the sequence where we meet one of my
fave characters in the series, Bartolomeo...Always makes me
laugh... ;D ...I can't remember though...Damned memory...
I gave up on this Templar place last playthrough...Didn't feel
it warranted the difficulty I was having with getting through
it...We'll see what happens this time... :) ...
Much fun!!...

Well, just finished Sequence 10, the one that has my fave
character in it...I was right!!...
So am definitely ploughing through it now...
Just opened up a new area of Venice, so am unfogging the map and
getting all the treasure...Is fun!!...
Oh, the Templar lair I mentioned in the last post...I didn't
have a single problem getting through it...*Shrug*...I have no
idea...I must have been having an off few days last time...

I played Assassin's Creed IV in my absence; was sorely
disappointed by 3, but Black Flag was an absolute blast.
Marauding the high seas, blasting other ships with broadsides
and then boarding to finish the crew off with flintlock and
cutlass never got old. Story was good, and Connor is definitely
one of the better-written protagonists, and the gameplay off the
ship was pretty good, even if it was still a case of the usual
Assassin's Creed block-counter-count stock.
I found the whole '100 percent synchronisation' side stuff quite
grating, though. I appreciate it was all optional, but I found
Black Flag was much more fun to play in a brazen, in-your-face
way, like you would do things if you were a goddamn pirate, but
then I had those constantly tugging at sleeve and being all like
"c'mon! Be stealthy. Pleeeeease!" And I was like "No, fuck you!
I'm a mothafuckin' pirate!". That aspect of the game and I never
quite got on.
Still, had a great time with it, and the ending hit me right in
the feels as well. It hit me in them hard and I was like "Ow, my
feels!" :(
But it was good.

Edward?... ??? ...Connor was AC3...
Yeah, I agree with the pirate thing...Spending hours blasting
the crap out of anything that moved was pretty fun...I made so
much money...But then again, I tended to go off after ships in
order to eat the time up when waiting for the Edward's Fleet
mini-game to get on with things... :D ...
Yeah, it was definitely a decent game...But still, much prefer 3
personally... :D ...
Still, currently on Brotherhood, and all is much fun in the
destroy Borgia Towers/open shops/earn money for nothing vein...
;D ...

Blerg! Edward, even. This is why I shouldn't post when I'm
tired.
