Okay, the Almanac pages...Unless you are really, and I mean
properly OCD with needing to collect EVERY. SINGLE. THING. in
the entire game...What you get from doing those, basically the
only thing of any use is the trophy for the first thing you make
after getting a set of plans...Otherwise, my advice...From
someone who's spent time chasing them...Don't worry about them,
it really isn't worth the stress...Especially if it may ruin the
experience for you...
What's wrong with regenerating health?... ??? ...Swigging a
bottle every time your health squares disappear wasn't entirely
realistic either... ;D ...

Thanks for the tip.
With regenerating health there's no penalty to mistakes. It
removes the middle ground. Either I'm perfectly fine, or I'm
dead. It's a system that fails utterly to reward caution or
preparation, and encourages you to just charge in.

Well, played some more AC3. No missions, just some exploring and
synchronising. There's something highly amusing about climbing a
church in th middle of a thunderstorm and standing on the big
metal cross atop the spire :D
I'm a little disappointed by the combat though. Countering made
it a joke in previous installments, and with the whole slowdown
thing when you do it's next to impossible to miss a riposte and
start a kill streak.
Did get a realy cool moment though, when I assassinated one of
the rear guys in a patrol, and Haytham pulled a dagger from
somewhere and cut down three or four other redcoats in as many
seconds, in a sort of mini-cutscene.

Just keep unfogging with Haytham...
His entire story-section is awesome...
I really did spend ages really hugging the Boston walls and
everything, just to keep playing him... :D ...I even unfogged
all the park/common land...Every single section of it... :D
...Now that is almost man-crush territory... ;D ...
Though, when you get to the Frontier sections and its all
snow...It gets hard to do anything but run around all the
roads...
But you'll find all that out... :D ...Will stop with the
spoilers...Apologies...

I just had that lecture from Benjamin Franklin about why it's
better to take an older woman as a lover...
That shit was so messed up...

Oh yeah... ;D ...I remember that conversation... :D ...
I don't know how much of ACII you remember, but I'm currently at
that bit just before you have to win a ticket to a certain party
by taking part in Carnivale events...With the mask on,
etc...Just before you meet the Madam in Venice...
Actually, I'm doing those assassination missions you get
assigned, at the moment...That and earning 12000 florins per 20
minutes from my villa... ^_^ ...Awesome!!...
Ooooh, have you seen this swag that I'm looking forward to the
end of the year for...Much Xmas prezzies ahoy!!!...(Game
set/novel/art book/soundtrack)... ;D ...

I remember that part :D
But now I must announce that I am officially done with AC3.
Tried the mission to eliminate Craddock, and I just can't take
the game seriously anymore. Break line of sight with a guard for
a second and they practically forget your existence, even if
they spot you meddling with the cannon. Hiding in bushes when
it's snowing throws suspension of disbelief out the window,
particularly when there's a guard looking your way less than for
feet away, and Haytham's habit of talking to "himself" about
what he's got to do is just them taking a wrecking ball to the
fourth wall everytime an objective is updated.
And on top of that I find the combat to be nothing more than
tedium. You can take out a dozen foes in 20 seconds without even
trying, and six musketballs to the chest aren't even close to
being fatal. I actually find myself questioning whether or not
it's even possible to die in this game.
I could go on, but you get the picture by now...
