       Name: Carlin Heroditus
Physical description: 5"3', brown hair pulled back in a ponytail
and neat, grey eyes. Average-looking, and largely forgettable
face. He is lithe and wiry, with the physique of a dancer.
Gear: Typical gear for travelling, finely made leather armour
covering his torso, arms and legs, a silk tassel dangling off
his left wrist for distracting opponents. The most interesting
thing he carries is the sword at his belt, a jet black blade. It
is completely straight, and the way it shines makes it look more
like cut stone or glass than forged metal.
Clothing: As well as the aformentioned leather armour, Carlin
typically wears loose-fitting linen clothing that allows for
       great freedom of movement.
Skills: Sword fighting is his greatest strength, and he is an
incredibly skilled combatant, relying on manouevrability and
agility in fights, avoiding attacks and hitting enemy weak
points. In order to further inmprove his sword-fighting skills,
he has studied the Dunmeris style of Hanathis. As well as this,
he is a well-versed scholar, specialising in Ayleid artefacts.
Personal History: A scholar who took some training in the sword,
Carlin's ambition was to travel across the lesser-known regions
of Tamriel, cataloguing whatever he found on his travels. While
his first expeditions were largely unsuccessful, he soon joined
a band of adventurers and travelled with them, lending his sword
arm as he studied the various ruins, caverns and creatures that
       they encountered.
In one of these raids into the dark and forgotten parts of the
world, the small band entered the tomb of an ancient Alyeid
monarch. There, Carlin found a blade, a perfect blade two and a
half feet in length and made from what looked like a single
piece of polished, dark stone. Taking it awakened something
hidden inside the weapon, and before he could stop it it took
control of him and turned him on his companions. They were cut
down, and the thing controlling Carlin took his form to the
Anvil, the nearest city, intent of spilling blood in some act of
       long-delayed vengeance.
A creature known as only the Nightmare of Anvil attacked the
city that night, a black, blade-wielding shadow in the shape of
a man. It cut down the guards that went to stop it, and it was
only after Modryn Oreyn, the Champion of the Fighter's Guild
local chapter, intervened was it stopped, managing to strike the
thing a blow across the back of its head that knocked Carlin
       unconscious.
When he came to, he was bound hand and foot and was in the local
Fighter's Guild chapter house. When Modryn spoke to him, Carlin
confessed he had no idea what he was talking about, and was
confused and disorientated with the last thing he remembered
being him picking the sword up. When Modryn tried to remove the
sword from Carlin's presence the scholar was wracked by pain and
sickness and it soon became clear that the weapon had imprinted
on him and the were bound together.
Under Modryn's guidance, Carlin managed to learn how to control
the murderous presence that inhabited the blade, utilising a mix
of meditation and martial practice. He learned quickly, the
sword augmenting his own fighting abilities so that he was able
to move quicker then most sword-fighters could ever hope to.
Once he judged he was ready, he left Anvil, travelling across
Tamriel and beginning an even more intensive study of Ayleid
history, especially that of their magic and artefacts, trying to
divine what he had been bound to. His skills were further honed
by the danger he got into along the way, fighting undead,
       monsters and bandits.
In the meantime, he exerts iron self-control on himself at all
times, and does his best to suppress the violent whispers of the
       weapon he carries.
Personality quirks: Extremely calm and collected, and almost
       impossible to anger or aggrivate.

At present we're basically waiting on Liz, since she's not
really able to get to a comp right now. At least I think that
       was the reason...
Also, are there now two characters talking to Anais?
       Yours and mine?

       Oh yeah, alright.
Also, I thought your character was shouting at a blacksmith at
the moment and wasn't even at the tavern.

Yeah, I suppose I did kind of rush through that bit.
Anyway, I guess it's pretty academic really, thinking of calling
       it quits.

Callidus, if you call it quits, I'm going to fucking hurt you.
After switching characters TWICE! You can't put us through
       more!! XD

Well, the second character was a full blown screwup, and the
first one did cause something of a problem...
I figured I' done enough damage as it is.
