The Chronicles of Bournemouthshire side story: Kiera, Emily and
Marketa aged 9
DIR By: Kiera Pearson
Date: March 16, 2013, 1:00 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
She was sat down, reading; a normal occurrence for a day such as
today but it still surprised the man charged with watching her.
They were told she was dangerous, a lit fuse on a loose cannon,
not a bookworm. They mentioned incredible skill and agility, not
shy, reserved girl who did… nothing. Well, she read, and she
read fast but still, she was rather boring. She was only 9 and
her sister was 7 yet both were very advanced in what they did,
but that didn't make what they did interesting. He looked again
at the girl and noticed that she hadn't moved an inch in the
last hour, which was suspicious. He walked to the girl and
noticed she was surprisingly two dimensional. Closer inspection
revealed she was painting, a very detailed painting. He sighed;
this was going to be a long game of hide and seek.
***
From the Library’s attic came three faint giggles. Kiera, Emily
and Marketa had successfully lost their wardens and were now
free to do whatever they wanted! The girls broke into massive
grins; this was going to be fun!
“Let’s pull more pranks! It will be brilliant to see all the
stupid adults flailing about!” Emily was always the most
outgoing of the three.
“But if they catch us we’ll be in even bigger trouble than we
are now!” Marketa whispered/exclaimed
“And we don’t have enough materials to do proper pranks. I say
we do something really rebellious, but completely in the rule
book,” The two other were half scared and half excited by what
Kiera meant, “let’s read, dance and paint,” the other girls
faces fell, they’d just escaped that, “ in Glenton hall.”
Kiera’s impish grin was instantly mirrored by her sister and
best friend.
***
The three girls crept through the empty, echo-y entrance hall to
Glenton Hall of the High Council, keeping out of the eyesight of
the pretended guards, practising for when real people came by.
“Where are we going?” Emily asked; eyes full of mischief and
slight fear of being caught.
“A place called the Hollow; it’s a studio and a study. It was
meant for the tribal leaders and can only be found by those
willing to bend the rules. The first leaders were awesome, if my
research is correct.” Kiera’s words troubled Marketa
“But we’re keeping completely in the rules, aren't we?”
“Well, we are, but the high council don’t know that, because
they aren't that well read in history.”
After an excruciating 3 whole minuets creeping through the
corridor, they reached The Hollow. It had walls lined with
books, an easel with an array of painting equipment and paints
and a floor space for dancing, with a pile of purple and pink
ribbons. The three troublemakers looked around with eyes
glinting; all amazed such a place would exist.
“I should read more history.”
“First you need to learn how to read, sister dear.”
***
He ran back to see the guardian of Kiera’s sister to find her
very perplexed as well.
“Gone, disappeared into wind, that girl will be the death of
me.”
“Kiera’s the same, there was just a painting of her…” he trailed
off, his eyes met with the other ward, “Market Bluet!” The
famous child prodigy from the Sapphire tribe, who should be
painting the Sapphire tribe’s leader’s portrait, but if current
happenings were anything to go by, she was shirking her duties
to play with the Pearsons.
The two incompetent child-sitters ran to where Marketa should
have been to tell the Head of Sapphire that she’d probably
escaped, but instead found him pottering about, doing his daily
work and not worried in the slightest.
“Sir, we were wondering, where is Marketa?” Emily’s warden
inquired.
“Oh, I let her have a break, as she’s only nine, she needs a
chance to play and have fun. I’m assuming you did the same for
your wards?”
***
The three adults charged to Glenton hall, looking to punish the
sisters and Marketa for organising a mini breakout. All three
were unknowing thinking the same thing: how far can I bend the
rules to punish the girls. After storming through the walkways
they came to a door neither of them had seen before. They looked
at each other for silent confirmation before venturing inside.
The room showed the girls doing exactly as they were doing
before, but unsupervised.
“What is the meaning of this? You were all to be kept separate!
What do you think you are doing?!” came the rush of words from
Kiera’s guardian. The other two adults looked around the room in
wonder that such a room existed under the advanced scrutiny of
many before them.
“We are using The Hollow, duh!” Emily responded without breaking
her complicated dance. The adults were taken back at the
response, but before they could question, Kiera explained.
“It’s a room only revealed to those willing to bend the rules.
You see, none of us three have broken a single rule all of
today, but we still defied them. Look, it says here,” she
hastily shoved a book as near to tall people as possible,
however, Kiera was a short 9 year-old and didn’t get very far.
The book itself was an old book, dating to the time of the first
leaders, detailing Glenton Hall. The pages shown were the first
of a chapter solely dedicated to The Hollow.
The three wardens looked at the three girls, thinking the same
thing; heaven help anyone who tries to keep them restrained.

Probably. But I WAS actually planning to write stuff from the
Chronicles but I couldn't find that list which you had on here
somewhere about what the chapters are going to be about :L
