in the meantime...
Meanwhile, in the forest, stood a meticulously built tree house,
though perfectly straight and complete, the house was made from
a mix of weathered and freshly hewn wood. Running to the
structure was a short messenger girl, clad in purple. She
climbed the using hidden handholds, and then was hoisted up into
the residence of Kiera the Runaway. Kiera looked at the
messenger, a blonde girl with short hair, shorter than
Kiera’s brown, shoulder-length locks. The small girl
spoke;
“I bring a message from your sister, Miss Kiera. A new
edict has come from the Order, stating that all punishments are
to be dealt by the Order and their ‘Stairway o’
Despair’. No one really knows how it works but Miss Emily
overheard Mr Pansy, curse’d be his name, mutter something
about a new dungeon tower and Yonder Hill, Miss Kiera.”
Kiera let out a sigh that lifted the hair in her face up, but
they floated back down into a splayed formation.
“Hmm… There’s always been something odd about
Yonder Hill, I see something but the moment I look,
there’s nothing there, and the stairway… I
don’t like it. This Order has been oppressing
Bournemouthshire for too long…” Her voice trailed
off, leaving the crowd gathering around her hanging with baited
breath. “Oh, Wait!” Kiera cried, “Pray, tell
us your name.” The blonde messenger looked slightly
bemused before answering “Katharine, but most call me
Kathy.”
“Kathy, tell Emily that I find this news most troubling
and I’ll be damned if I don’t personally shoot The
High Priest in the eye. Be on your way, Kathy and watch out for
Hellewise, she can be nasty sometimes.” And with that the
messenger left, leaving Kiera surrounded by her minions.

well... we run a village, but I've always been for kid power,
but some back stories (that aren't set in stone) place us
between 23 and 33 (thereabouts) so...
