       I have noticed that when you download a show from LMA using
       Smart FTP, along with the FLAC files that I download there are
       also wav files... is there any reduction in quality by
       downloading the wav files as opposed to FLAC & then converting
       them to wav files yourself?

       Flac is a lossless file format. Just get the flacs and convert -
       damn sight smaller download!!

       if you use nero to burn,skip over the conversion.its automatic
