They absolutely killed it. Really intense playing, they went all
out for this one. It would be impossible to tell that the band
had taken any break at all if you didn't already know.
Probably half the people at Fusion Fest were Breakfast fans but
I got plenty of comments from n00bs saying they were
unbelievable and asking about their history or w/e if they had
       never heard of them before.
I took a few pics and put them on Facebook:

Absolutely amazing time. The Breakfast destroyed the festival to
the delight of the cheering crowd. People were definitely into
it and it reflected on the band who looked like they were having
a blast! it certainly did not seem like it had been 10 months
since their last public gig. How the hell do they do it?
Tunage got things rolling respectably but then GBFBITS > WUIAC
sent us all to the stratosphere. The Zappa medley was fiery!
When was the last Magic Fingers? 8-16-01 comes to mind but they
probably played it after that. BB was funky good and the kids
were ready for it, kicking up sand and reveling in the great
music pouring out of the PA. Interesting to hear a stand alone
Harry. Usually it segues into another song but it reminded me of
the early GD Playing in the Bands where they played the head of
the song, went out into deep space, and then reprised the song.
Any way you slice it, it worked!!!
Things got a tad fuzzy for me during the second set. Rufus was
killer and then the Acid Queen was a total shocker. The latest
version I could find on the archive is 4-8-06 Seracuse. It was
the subsequent move into Metropolis that unhinged my brain from
its moorings. They sizzled through that and Synergy before
throwing down the trump with Buquebus. WPOA was a great rowdy
stomping encore that left us all smiling with happy feet.
Also really dug on Normal Instruments, Dopapod, Sparkplug and
       the Higher Organix. Good stuff!
I was out of it saturday night so I apologize to anyone I tried
to conversate with. I was doing my best just to keep myself
together!!!! But I know y'alls cool with that!
I wish I could make it to the Maine show. This can only get
       better from here.
Best band ever. Hands down. Love you guys and hope you did have
as much fun as we had listening to you. Much love and thanks.
       Thanks Bonzo for everything!!! Cheers!
P.S. The disc golf course right next to Newport High School
called 'the Pinnacle,' is amazing! Had a blast there on
       saturday.
