       My brother's neighborhood has been effectively hemmed in by
       water for 2 days now. His house hasn't been breached or lost
       power yet, but the rain kept coming so yesterday he put his
       4x4x4 truck up on jackstands and set a ladder up next to his
       house.
       His plan? If the water breached the house, he the wife and kiddo
       would move into the truck and start the engine up, and be a/c
       'ed. Then when the water breached the truck, they'd climb the
       ladder and get on the roof of the house.
       This is why everybody in The Alamo died...We're just too
       stubborn to quit.
       The rains have abated for the most part and hopefully the
       receding of the waters will quicken.
       My brother never had to get in the truck....His only problem now
       is he's out of whiskey and the beers are running out.
