Well, I'm not really a fan, either. :D
It's not the first time this sort of thing has happened, and I'm
fairly certain it won't be the last.
This is definitely not the same neighbourhood that I moved into
20+ years ago. A few years back, they started redeveloping some
of the downtown neighbourhoods, and this has had an effect on
all of the surrounding areas.
I feel for the marginalized peeps, they were pushed out of the
places they used to frequent, and really haven't found a place
to go. I'm not sure what can be done to help them, though. Life
is complicated sometimes, I guess. :-\

“Gentrification”. Down here too. Developers buy up old
neighborhoods, build four times as many homes as were on single
family homes lots. The new ones cost four times as much as the
originals, which drives the property values up, as well as the
taxes, driving out the folks that can’t afford to keep up.
Developers snatch up those properties as well and......Rinse and
repeat.😡

im training the beavers to attack trespassers... its still in
the recruiting stage of the experiment right now...
