It's -2F right now with a forecast low of -9F tonight. Supposed
to be this way for another couple of weeks.
At least it quit snowing. :P
I guess we're paying for all of that mild weather we had up
until now. :'(

we had a snowstorm in west virginia one year... dropped over 6
feet of snow in 24 hours, then it dropped to -30F for a week...
the army corps of engineers were not able to get into the
county in which i lived for over a week to open roads. i moved
to florida that year.

I drove through West Virginia one summer. Beautiful country,
until we got down into coal country...Several of those little
towns looked pretty poor and sad.

the southern part of the state is pretty sad... the northern
part is/was steel mills and chemical plants... a very exploited
people and land...

I believe it was the area up around Hawk’s Nest State Park I
found to be absolutely wild and beautiful. While I am constantly
amazed at the things man has built over centuries, what nature
constructs are the things that take your breath away, and fill
your eyes with wonder.
