Layers. Blankets. Have three blankets on the bird cage and the
       keys seem ok.

Started my radiation treatments today. No big deal, but the
schedule thing is pretty fucked up. Afternoons, then mornings,
then middays. Gonna cause me some grief.

Well so far, the whole radiation thing is not too bad. The
inconvenience of having to do it everyday and the scheduling
headaches are a pita. Also, the nurses insistence I come in with
a full bladder is the worst part. No longer the owner of a
prostate, generally when I gotta go, I fucking gotta go. So I
lay there getting zapped, trying to keep my mind off the fact
that I fucking need to pee.
Also, there’s a weird soylent green vibe. Remember when Edward
       G. Robinson is laying there, waiting to die, and soothing music
is playing? Along with pictures of nature on the ceiling? Yeah.
       That.

I hope the radiation treatments are going OK as for results. I
am an aging baby boomer and would hate to be on "pee
restriction". I'm glad we have so many medical innovations but
following regimen for using these innovations can be a
       challenge.
I had a steak at Longhorn Steakhouse yesterday with a couple of
friends. I eat a steak maybe every couple of years. I'm
usually more of a Chipotle chicken bowl guy usually. The
restaurant was fairly busy. I, and both friends have had both
       vaccinations.
I'm having visions of a road trip from Orlando to Santa Fe NM.
Hopefully in May if things seem safe. I saw something about 100
million people having been taxed in the U.S.
Along the way I'm thinking of stopping in Hot Springs Arkansas.
I heard Hot Springs was a gangster destination prior to Las
Vegas taking that distinction. Also, maybe Nachez MS. Lots of
surviving old architecture in Nachez - it came out of the Civil
War largely unscathed, reportedly because they (Nachez)
surrendered early, thus avoiding Sherman's big burn. At least
       as I understand it.
       Hope everyone's doing OK generally.

Been to both those places on your itinerary. Hot Springs
National Park is the smallest national park. The wife and I
stayed in a round hotel the gangsters had purportedly built to
feed the gambling operations. Some of the old bath houses are
still there. Really pretty landscape in that part of Arkansas.
There are several beautiful antebellum homes in Natchez and on
the trace. We aren’t supposed to like that stuff now because of
it’s roots in slavery, but I don’t think that’s particularly
valid. It’s a building, architectural history, not a monument to
a Confederate general or a slave holder.

AJ, those places you mention are the sort of thing I want to
see. I spent an afternoon and night in Nachez. Loved the sights
there. I've never been to Hot Springs - but watching a YT video
I saw lots of wonderful looking places - old hotels and bath
houses. I love discovering things. Three or four years back I
flew to Phoenix. I didn't investigate Phoenix. But stayed in
Flagstaff, Tucson, and Bisbee. Bisbee was my favorite
discovery. An old copper mining town about 30 miles from
Tombstone. Bisbee is built into the rocks with great old
hotels, rustic sights, and artists/craftspeople doing their
       thing.
You mentioned architecture with roots in slavery. I tend to
agree about the buildings. I can understand the sentiment
regarding racist statues. Reading about some of the lynchings
and other terrorist acts around the southern U.S. over the past
150 or so years - people have real reasons to be fed up.
Burning people's homes - because they were Black and had the
audacity to attempt to vote. And now with international news
coverage we see history repeating itself over and over. Places
in Africa and Asia where the ones with the power, are punishing
the ones without power - for the crime of being the wrong
       religion, race, or ethnicity.
There's a TV channel over the that I watch a lot ....DW Channel
       - an English speaking Berlin based channel. Lots of great
content. I watched a documentary - The Maras of Guatemala.
About the youth gangs that extort money from businesses for
"protection". Poverty and crime drive those people to the U.S.
border. I keep saying we need an international coalition to
help clean things up down there - Mexico, U.S. and other
       affected surrounding countries down there.
