Made it through another week on call
By: AJ Date: December 4, 2020, 6:35 am
       ---------------------------------------------------------
Another week under the belt. Had a night call all but one night.
Made some good it but it is ruff on the old constitution.
Got my Christmas bonus yesterday and that eased my pain a bit.
Not as much as last years as it’s based on how the company does,
but enough to cover property and school taxes, and a good chunk
       of the homeowners insurance.
All I know is after 5 this afternoon, I won’t have to worry
about the answering service ringing my telephone.

I can kinda glean when you're on call by the amount you (don't)
       post ;)
Cindy's job is at it again---staffing shortage, so they expect
her to work extra, cover other shifts than her usual, and give
up days off. Sure, she gets paid for it, but we don't need the
money so bad that it justifies the toll it takes on her. She
implores me not to say anything to her manager (the 7th since
she's worked there---sometimes there IS no manager), and so far
I've complied, but---you know how I am. Shit be fittin' to go
       BANG. I've about had it.
Schools. Yeah. She's a shoo-in for the next lunch lady opening,
but they shut the fucking schools down again. Which brings up
another relevant point---how much of our school taxes are going
       to be refunded? Sheesh---  ::)
Anyhoo. You got my respect for what you do. You're an older fart
than me and you been through some heavy shit in recent times.
Kudos, brother. You oughtta retire, IMO, but that's not up to me
       in any way.
So ya gonna get that new guitar? 8)

       1) sorry Miss Cinny is having so much grief again. She doesn’t
deserve it, and you are right to be upset about it, but do as
she wishes and keep your cool.
       2) You ain’t no school tax money back.
       3) Thanks for the kind words.
       4) I move like a turtle when it comes to instruments.
       5) I should retire. Prolly won’t for a while though.
