No foolin', Likderbung! I try to ignore the notifications
indefinitely, but eventually they'll install them whether I want
them or not. Then I have to try, with my limited computer
skills, to make it work again.
There is strong drink, herbal calmatives and blaspheming in
attendance in such instances.
(piss off, spellcheck, I know it's not a word)

Well, this battle was more a matter of pride than it actually
breaking anything.
There was one update which would download and install and then
come back and tell me that it failed the installation.
I ignored it at first, mostly because it was on the old laptop I
have in my shop for doing shop stuff. It's not like I was doing
any banking or other important shit on it. Thing is, every time
I would use this 'puter, it was slow and sluggish because this
stupid update was grinding away in the background. Yesterday was
the last straw, so I spent around three hours Googling and
trying various stuff without any success. I did finally get it
to install in the end, but I'll never get those three hours of
my life back. :(
Up yours, Windows!
I have prevailed! ;D
