Playing with the thing

Got things kind of setup now, read the manual a couple of times.
Tonight, I plugged my el cheapo Applause in to the deck, and
also positioned a microphone to pick up the natural acoustic
sound of the guitar and recorded both to different tracks. I had
nothing planned at all. I just riffed a few chords for about a
minute and a half. This was just me seeing if I actually have
figured out how to use the thing.
Surprisingly...it all worked great. I had the recording levels
right, no ugly noises, no red lights. All good. I didn’t apply
any of the onboard compression or limiting. On playback, I had a
Lot of fun panning the two tracks around to get different blends
of the miked and piezo sounds. Played around with the onboard
reverbs. Very clean recording and none of the myriad of
headaches I’ve head using my pc and software. I don’t like the
sound of piezo pickups much, but mixing the acoustic and pickup
sounds, I came up with a fairly pleasing sound. For a little
over a minute of mindless riffing anyway.
Now I want a better acoustic guitar 😄

Sounds like a successful maiden voyage!
I hope this new toy tickles your creative urge and brings you
many hours of entertainment, Jim.
I'm a bit jealous... ;D

If I can ever get my neck/back working better, I would be more
than happy to do so.
Stupid getting old...
