in this one, they're playing infront of the Jodrell Bank radio
telescope, which is a short drive away from me, and they mention
the town of Preston, which is pretty much where i've lived all
       my life.

I have most definitely experienced that. Of late, it's been the
       very early Rolling Stones stuff.

i must admit, i don't think i've ever listened to a full stones
album. even i'm quite surprised by that, because i love all
their big hits. i think i own a copy of 'exile on main street',
but for some reason i've never played it. i must rectify this.

“Exile” is one of their best. “12 x 5” is a good one too. “It’s
all over now” is my favorite pre-“Satisfaction” number.

a boring fact about doves. the lead singer and bass player, jimi
goodwin, is left-handed, but he plays a right-handed bass. he
doesn't even string it left-handed. he's just learned to play it
       upside down.

I knew a lefty that just restrung righties left handed, except
his bass. He just played it upside down period because he always
had guitars but not basses. So always using other’s basses, he
       just learned bass that way.

Did for him. He was one of the best all around musicians and
songwriters I have ever known. A truly great unknown.

them for the first time again. i absolutely loved Turin Brakes
       in the early 2000's
