Fixed my usual weekend breakfast this morning

Unless I’m on call, I generally fix myself a nice, fattening
       breakfast on Saturday morning.
       Two pieces of toast
Two strips of thick cut, peppered bacon
A bowl of grits with butter and sugar
       Two eggs over easy
       Orange juice and coffee.
       Yum

I miss grits. They're uncommon in bluebellyland. I like them
swimming in butter with salt and pepper. Alongside eggs and
bacon and toast. Hell, waitress, I'll just have what he's
       having.

Don’t want to bust any bubbles, but they are Quaker instant
grits, butter flavored. 1/2 cup of milk stirred in and a minute
and a half in the microwave.

Did a complete interior repaint a few years back---the client
was part of some food bank---gave me five 2lb. packages of white
hominy from a gubmint food program. Absolutely best grits I've
ever had. Cinny had never had grits before. She loved 'em too.
