Mikes I use

Nothing special:
A couple of Shure 57’s. Those I use on amplifiers, deployed in
an x y configuration.
A couple of AT Pro 3’s. Those for vocals, room sound, harmonica.
A Shure 58 that I primarily used for live performance when I
played in bands a million years ago. I used it for vocals on all
the Vomiteers recordings.
A ancient Shure 48. I bought it ages ago and used to Mike amps
for live performances as well. A decent mike for bass drums too.
A Cad condenser mike was that utilizes phantom power. It’s an ok
mike, has a shock mount. Think I used it for the backing vocals
I did for Imp on the Vomiteers cover of “ I am the Walrus”.
That is about it. I’d like to get a better all purpose mike, any
suggestions?

Thanks for responding Jamie. Sounds like you’ve quite a nice
toolbox of mikes. I guess given the nuances you are trying to
capture from the different instruments you use dictates a fairly
sophisticated approach.
