So.

I've been following Lucky Dog Guitars out of Cleveland TN on
Facebook. Struck up a friendship with Anthony Sims, the
owner/chief bottlewasher. Darn nice fella.
Our first dealing was for a Seymour Duncan Lil 59 for Tele
bridge pickup that a customer didn't care for, and a Peterson
Robostomp tuner pedal that he didn't use anymore. He included a
Lucky Dog keyfob leather pick holder and half a dozen picks.
Great deal for $130 shipped. Best tuner I've ever used. The
pickup is going in a MIM Tele that's on the bench now. The
keyfob is in my pocket and staying there.
Besides the baddest-ass Teles in the world that he and his crew
produce, he sells a pedal made for his label called the Soul
Winner. It's an overdrive/volume booster/compressor that's
especially suited to country/rock style guitar. It's not cheap
at $239, but after listening to sound clips from Lucky Dog AND
several very satisfied customers, I ordered one. It arrived this
morning.
WOW. This is one BAD ASS box! Plugged my walnut semihollow Tele
with Andrew Robertson "Sweet 53" pickups into it and into my
handmade 5W/2x12 amp and ran it through its courses. Four
knobs---level, tone, gain, comp. All very interactive with one
another. There are an infinite number of tones here.
He included a gratis long-sleeve Lucky Dog t-shirt :)
Can't wait to work this out with other guitars and amps.
I've never been big on pedals but I think this one is going to
prove to be a keeper.

Sweet deal! I haven’t bought a pedal, essentially since I sold
off my collection several years ago. I bought a Boss ME-50,
used. Haven’t used it since I bought my Line 6 though.
Would be cool if you could post some recordings with it.

I'm no great shakes on electric guitar, never have been. Now
that my left hand doesn't work so well, even more so. If I was
going to post anything, it would be acoustic.
It just now occurred to me---I haven't run an acoustic guitar
through this new box yet.
Hmmm---gotta go---
