Gawddamnit, this getting old stuff SUCKS.
I've become rather sedentary since the heart failure/strokes &c.
Not by choice, but by necessity. Just got no gumption anymore.
Spend most of my time on my butt or just wobbling around the
house. Sitting at my desk, sitting in my recliner, sitting at
       the guitar bench.
The last couple days, I got up and got some stuff done. Loaded
the dump cart 8 times, pulled it around to my several beds
topping off half-barrels. Distributed a bunch of straw into
them. Hacked down some sunflower stalks with the machete, pulled
roots, pulled spent pole bean vines, cut down asparagus ferns.
       Started raking leaves.
My lower body---from my gluteus maximus down to my ankles---is
sore, tight, doesn't want to work. My back, neck, shoulders and
arms are complaining. I took half a 325mg hydrocodone this
morning---1st time I've touched that stash in almost a year
(leftovers from my teeth being pulled).
Not to boast ("The older I get, the badder I useta be"), but up
into my mid 50s, I thought nothing of working 12 hours a day,
six days a week. Bidness as usual.
Now, a few hours of honest labor, and I'm all stove up. Not
DAMAGED, mind you, but seriously attenuated.
       Fer crine out loud!

Me and the lad took a couch and a sofa out to the curb
yesterday, I was out of breath and had to sit down for 10
       minutes.
       Can relate and do empathize.

Actually, I meant to say a chair and a sofa. No difference in a
couch and a sofa in Texspeak.
