ive been playing my flutes lately... i have a standard, concert
flute, prolly havent had it out of the case twice in ten years,
but...
ive got fujarras and futujarras, end blown anasazi flutes,
flutes as carried by samurai that are as deadly as they are
lovely, native flutes in plains and woodlands flavors,
transverse indian bansuri, a fife, tin whistles and kazoos!
ok, kazoos are technically tympanograms, same family as gongs by
classical daffynition... but rhythmically it works...

Flutes....like saxophones, clarinets...I just don’t get em. I
mean they are all cool looking, cool sounding instruments. I
just don’t know how people figure out how to make music with
‘em.
