Two recent kitchen gizmo purchases
By: guest13 Date: June 25, 2020, 12:19 pm

First, an air fryer. Been hearing a lot of buzz about this
device, so we got a fairly large one that reviewed well. About
$100. So far we've made fish, potatoes, burgers and chicken in
it, and I gotta say---it works! Crispy fried food with almost NO
oil.
Yesterday our instant pot arrived. Again, pretty big
one---again, about $100. Haven't used it yet, still reading up
on it.
Need to build more shelving just to store all the kitchen
gizmos.

I have been tempted to purchase examples of each of those
products as well. I have a cabinet in the garage that is filled
with kitchen gadgets I don’t have room for in the kitchen.

I would give my eye teeth for a garage (since my top teeth are
dentures already).

UPDATE:
We don't throw away the boxes of any online purchases until
we're sure they won't be returned.
Both of these boxes went out last week.
These gizmos are AMAZING. Fast, clean, no overheating the
kitchen. Food comes out delicious. Much healthier than the
alternatives. Getting rid of the deep fryer and at least two of
the four crock pots. Couldn't be more pleased.

Darn near everything! Most recently, Cindy whipped up a batch of
pasketti sauce in the instant pot. Came out great. Couple nights
ago she did her meat loaf in the air fryer, also wonderful. Nice
outside crust, moist and juicy inside.
Going to experiment with steaming---harvesting the last of this
year's asparagus.

Tonight: chicken leg quarters (thighs and drumsticks) marinated
in Italian dressing with BBQ sauce (homemade). 2 TBSP oil.
Homegrown mater and cuke slices. Homemade mac and cheese.
Om NOM nom nom!

Sounds awesome! I’m cooking a steak.....but inside in a cast
iron skillet. It’s raining like hell right now

I have an immediate and pressing need for some grill steaks.
Budgeting $25 for some exemplary beef. Don't splurge like this
but rarely---by gawd, it's time.
