medium beet root, i throw the tops in too, if there isnt too
much.. half a granny smith apple... a piece of fresh ginger
root about the size of my thumb... half to one whole lime, to
taste...juice and pulp maybe a little zest. green tea for a
liquid base or i actually like yerba mate better... and yerba
has a boost like caffeine without the jitters or raise in blood
pressure. no caffeine crash either... the iron content in
fresh beets is a rush! its an earthy, spicy warm energy jump
start thats a great “dont have time for a healthy breakfast”
its filling and keeps you running way past lunchtime.
pro tip... cauliflower will sweeten stuff up without adding a
bunch of sugars... grapes are a fast fix to sweeten stuff, but
theres a lot of sugar in fruits so balance it out... find green
drinks you like, a handful of baby spinach can be thrown into
almost anything... and blends pretty well, dont be afraid to
screw something up... think of the fun in sharing major
malfunctions... “no, seriously, its great! youre gonna love
it!”.

Thanks Jamie! I'm going to print these out and try them! I made
a apple, orange, banana, strawberry, Kiwi thing today and quite
enjoyed it. Need to get on the veggie train with this stuff
though. Bought some spinach, kale, cukes and carrots at the store
this evening...Didn't buy ginger though. I've got some ground
ginger in the spice collection....Wonder if some of that would
perk things up?
