Ordered a juicer today

....I’m big on making fruit salads. After a few days though, the
fruit isn’t visually pleasing though, even though it’s still
good. So, instead of throwing it out, I figure, why not just
throw it all in a juicer?

Sounds like a decent way to use them up before they go bad.
Just be careful with the added sugar, if you use any.
It's easy to get carried away.
I found this out the hard way when I was into smoothies a few
years back. >:(

Several hours after reading this reply...... I find myself
extremely intrigued by how you got “carried away” with sugar and
smoothies. ::)
Do elaborate.

Well, in 2008 I had allowed my weight to balloon up to 245 lbs,
and I was simply miserable about the whole thing.
One of the many techniques I decided to try was to give up bread
and switch to smoothies for breakfast and lunch, hoping it was a
healthier, lower calorie choice, which it is if done properly.
Unfortunately for me, I didn't do it properly, I suppose. I was
using yogurt, milk and frozen fruit to make my smoothies. I also
have a bit of a sweet tooth, so I was adding 4 of 5 tablespoons
of sugar to the mix. Turns out that sugar is around 50 calories
per tablespoon. 2 smoothies a day equals 400 to 500 extra
calories from the sugar alone. Couldn't figure out why I was
still gaining until I actually started to educate myself about
food and calories. I cut out one of the smoothies and started
using an artificial sweetener in place of the sugar in the
remaining smoothie.
YMMV, but that's how it worked for me.
