yes, borders and lines of demarcation are all imaginary...
geography can temporarily separate a people, but states and
countries only exist in our mind. there was a surfer interviewed
in jacksonville... “yeah, like the salt water takes care of all
that, its great! people can come here and not worry”. this
should have been on amerikkkas got ignorant amateur
videographers or some such tv show... not the news...
“no, i saw it on the news! florida is virus free!”. public
service announcement?
masks? simple... you become infected once you get enough
virus collected to start a colony. . moisture droplets spewed
from virus holes in an infected, carries virus. larger droplets
carry more virus... no, mask possibly wont stop a singular
virus wafting about in the air, it may... but no guarantee...
one wont get you... but a whole bunch, already packaged in a
neat little sphere of spittle sneezed from ten feet away onto
your backside as you casually scratch your ass and then sniff
your fingers... ok, maybe not you, but go to wal mart... youve
seen it... and congrats! youve won the covid-19 lottery!
wont wear a mask because youre free? free to be ignorant...
free to be as stupid as you like... but my freedoms stop at
stepping on yours. im free to wear a goddamn lavender tutu and
mask if i so choose, without having a moron get into my personal
space in what i consider a potentially life threatening action.
threatening my life as well as that of my family, by choice of
ones own ignorance... im in fear of my life, i am armed and
will shoot you, until you are dead if you continue toward me.
this scenario is what is taught in concealed carry classes...
im not sure how any of this plays out legally... with
asymptomatic carriers and reinfection possible, its not as if
one has to be visibly ill to be a threat. so now im confronted
by a six foot six inch screaming frothing douche spraying me
with saliva because i dont conform to his ideals so i can carry
his infected bullshit home to kill my octogenarian parents?
because of some ignorant bastard that is too afraid to admit
theres something they dont know? the very definition of
ignorant fucktard.
“i wont wear a mask because carbon dioxide!”. yes, karen...
doctors and nurses all over the world falling out in the middle
of fucking brain surgery because carbon dioxide molecules cant
get out of a mask that lets in much larger particles... if
masks are going to kill us, the doctors would already be dead...
darwin rules...
there is something id like like to clarify, though... on the
michigan subject... when i said i wasnt coming back here, that
was not due to any negativity toward the forum. it was simply to
avoid conflict for myself and others. when the irritant self
destructed and decided greener pastures might be better, and
left, there was nothing here i felt needed avoiding... in all
honesty, i saw the stuff dano spoke about me... its ok, his or
anyones opinion of me is none of my concern. i see talking
negatively about people as harmful behavior. talking “to” people
about conflicting behavior has validity... talking “about” is
rude, socially unacceptable and generally manipulative in
nature... i used to make a living working with folks that were
having issues with maladaptive behaviors and i still choose to
work in that world... but when i want to hang out and have fun,
or blow off some steam, i dont want to have to tiptoe around
eggshells... my oldest and best friend doesn’t see eye to eye
with me on a lot of issues... we’ve fought... and liked the
same girls... but we remain loyal friends. i can count on him
anytime and he knows the same. brothers, more than blood...
opposite on many things but choose to understand and work things
out... and we still work things out 60 years into this
friendship... i was taught thats how adults behave and it feels
right to me.
im often misunderstood, i can only hope this is not taken in
anger... im not mad or upset... i actually feel neutral and
quite calm... a beautiful cloudy day... only in the 80s and
looks like rain through wednesday! hopefully the drought is
over!

I didn’t take your poke at Michigan as a swipe at Dano. Michigan
has had fringe elements for as long as I can think of.
I think a lot of states are rushing this due to the incredible
hardships caused by this shutdown. If we can get compliance
insofar as distancing and wearing masks, it will at least have a
impact on case numbers.
I’m not believing all the different conspiracy theories that are
floating around. Whether or not this virus was loosed on the
world deliberately by the Chinese or accidentally doesn’t really
seem like the issue we should be most concerned with at this
moment. Right now we have to concentrate on arresting this shit.
We can go point fingers and lay blame later.
Meanwhile, I’m wearing a mask when around the public. It’s
uncomfortable, but it’s what we all should do.

i appreciate you being real with me. always have.
those fringes run deep here as well... if youve forgotten, the
south is gonna rise again! i know a man that doesnt like me
because im from west virginia, and west virginia went with the
union... ignorance just like this virus, could give a flying
fecal deposit about state lines, party affiliation, or financial
position, it seems.

Thursday was the first day of our phase one reopening.
Retail stores, dentists, hairdressers and most other small
businesses are allowed to reopen if they follow certain
guidelines.
Bars and restaurants can now have table service, but only with
50% capacity if said 50% capacity doesn't exceed the social
distancing requirements.
Provincial parks are reopening, but I believe the national parks
are still closed.
You can also have an outdoor gathering of 50 people (up from
15), provided everyone stays 6 feet apart. Good luck with that
one. ;D
Indoor gatherings are still limited to 15 people.
That's it in a nutshell, but it's worth noting that the Calgary
health district is still under lock down as their numbers are
still what the health department considers high.
I personally think this will only encourage some people in the
Calgary district to travel to other districts for some of the
above services. I'm not sure if this is a good idea or not.
On a personal note, I still can't visit Mama D in her long term
care facility.
That part truly sucks. :(
Mojo sent to you on the Mama Dinkleberg thing bro. I know how
much you both love each other and it's got to be hellish for
both of you right now.
But I guess it's good news things are loosening up a bit....I
guess...Provided we all don't get a rapid bloom of corona cases.
Perhaps you'll be able to get together with your buddy and jam
and grin a bit in the near future and that would prolly put a
DinkleSmile on your face. ;D
Thanks, Jim.
I just read your post about putting together something for your
wife's memorial.
I know words can't make it better, but I'm thinking of you
often, friend. :)
I went for a drive yesterday just to look at something other
than pavement and concrete, and stopped in small town Alberta
for gas. You'd never know there was a pandemic going on, with
health agencies urging caution and social distancing. It was a
bit disheartening to see, to say the least.
I ordered some face masks the other day, even though they are
purely optional out in public here, at this point.
According to the government website, outdoor visits are allowed
at facilities like the one Mama D is in, but you have to pass a
health screening, observe social distancing and provide your own
mask. It's going to be pretty chilly this week, and I don't
expect the masks until next week sometime, but I am looking
forward to seeing Mama D in the hopefully somewhat near future.
My buddy and I will hopefully get together in the next week or
so. I'm looking forward to it, but I dunno if I'll be able to
play the sax or not. I'm having some (likely) back issues where
my hands and feet go numb or start to randomly hurt, and 12 lbs
of saxophone hanging around my neck doesn't seem to help things
out much. :(
I have to go for x-rays hopefully this week, and take it from
there. The doc seems to think I'm gonna have a lot of pain in my
future years.
Can't wait! >:(
Glad to hear you're hangin' in there, Mr V!
Stay safe, it's a bit of a jungle out there...

distancing rules

weddings/funeral services can have up to 30 people
schools started again today

At this point, we're not even sure it's anything to do with my
back.
The doc said B12 deficiency could cause some of these symptoms.
It does run in the family and is easily fixed with regular B12
shots.
Getting some blood work done Friday and a cervical x-ray
tomorrow.
Fingers crossed...
