The niece had a bit of a scare last night. She had felt light
headed and dizzy, had some nausea. Drove herself to the ER.
Fortunately, it was just vertigo. She got some meds for it and
went home. She also said nobody asked her for any insurance, nor
did they present her with a bill.
       Wow....

Had a service call in a Galveston today.
       The beaches were absolutely deserted.
Even the seabirds are socially distant.
I’m beginning to wonder if our world will ever get back to
       normal.
Or if perhaps, there is going to be a new “normal”.
Fuck you Coronavirus. Fuck you very much.

Cindy's paid time off is used up as of Monday. We had our
primary health provider fax her HR manager a document stating
that due to my high-risk status, Cindy should not return to her
high-exposure job. Not a single fuck was given. Unless one of us
is showing symptoms, she has to return to work or be fired.
Shutting the fucking barn door after all the fucking livestock
       has escaped.
I'm livid. Even moreso because there is nothing we can do.
Researched the MI labor laws---we're scrood.
       "Very much" indeed!

That sucks Dano. I wish there was something to be done. This
virus is crushing people’s lives. She literally has no choice
though. If you catch this shit you’re fucked though. Is her
employer at least offering masks and gloves??

Gloves yes---masks no. They hung a plexiglass barrier at the
       register. Like that does SHIT!
Since my last post, I spoke with a pal who's a lunch lady with
the local school district. Says she can almost certainly get
Cindy in when school goes back. We are strongly considering it.
       [/quote]
       I guess the big “if’s” are;
       A. When will schools be back in session?
       B. Do you have funds to get by until it is?
Dano, I hate this shit for you Bro. I hope you and Cindy find a
path here, and you get a stimulus check before anyone else does.
       😔

Michigan's governor has gone completely over the line. Boating
is banned. Landscaping is banned. Sales of seeds and started
       plants are banned.
People are getting REAL fed up.
       >:(

WTF??! None of that shit down here! Hell with multitudes staying
home the yard crews aren’t! The county, city, and State
landscapers are working their asses off....and with less danger
from traffic! Boating has no restrictions that I know of, and
fishing and hunting are considered “essential” activities!

as is growing your own food... a 3% tax, so the story goes,
started this country... but we are ok with sacrificing grams
       for wall street?
we have a moral obligation to defy the idiocy.

Agreed! If current conditions continue, a whole lot of folk are
going to get fighting mad, and looking at the gubment as a
target for that anger. Unfortunately, it won’t be Dear Leader or
Congress in the crosshairs. It’ll be cops, and they are victims
       like the rest of us.

I went out there his morning to Home Depot for some wild bird
seed and a tank of propane. There was, I estimate, a hundred
people in line outside the store, 6 feet apart, waiting their
turn to go in. Home Depot limits how many people can be in the
store at any given time. I blew it off and went to a gas station
to get a tank of propane.
The Lad came home this morning and said, yeah, the employees
were taking turns at his store being gatekeepers.
       It’s getting truly bizarre.
