Tuesday, after radiation ☢️, I will get part 1 of
my corona vaccine. Hopefully now the near constant harping from
my niece about getting it will abate. Shees. She was getting
downright nasty about it. “In a loving way”. Guess she’s been
learning these somewhat uppity and devious machinations from
them Yankees she’s been living around for a couple of decades
       now. 🤣
The Lad has been mentioning it as well though. He broke into a
big smile at lunch today when I told him I had it scheduled, and
said he had been really worried about it.
I guess it’s right move for me. I don’t know. With all the
mutations coming up I have to admit to no small amount of
skepticism about it’s long term efficacy.
Then again, I don’t want to be lumped in with idiot deniers.

Got my second COVID vax today.
7 more radiation treatments. Things are looking up!

Good news on the vax front, that's for sure.
Hope the radiation treatments are going to be worth it for you.
I've got my fingers crossed for you, buddy.
I had my first AZ shot on the 13th. I have no idea when my
second shot is gonna happen, though. Vaccines are in somewhat
short supply in this part of the world. Who the hell in the
government thought it was a good idea to outsource all of our
vaccine production capabilities a few decades back?!??!
In other Covid news, Alberta is getting fucked pretty hard by
the virus right now. I read yesterday that we have the highest
per capita rate in all of Canada and the US now. We're number
       one! We're number one!
Damn, but I'm getting weary of this crap...

Bad news bro. Stay home, stay safe. Hope you get that follow up
shot sooner rather than later. I’m sick of this crap too bro.
Tired of wearing masks, tired of stupid, inconsiderate fucks and
their selfish attitudes toward the pandemic.

Yeah, I'm a little bit sick of the "plague rats" too. >:(
This weekend one of the rural towns held a "protest rodeo". It
was a combination rodeo and anti-shutdown protest. The news said
that over a thousand people showed up, in spite of a public
health restriction limiting outdoor gatherings to 10 people. Not
a mask in sight either, apparently. I'm having a hard time being
optimistic about things opening up significantly by summer as
long as this crap keeps going on. :(

Apparently, last night there were no more available ICU beds in
       my entire city.
The government shut down more activities and businesses for at
       least 3 weeks.
       Shit's gettin' real...

Sounds rather unreal. But I expect we may head that way again,
due to the whole fling all the doors open attitude down here. We
have a glut of vaccines and fewer takers right now. I’m fully
vaxxed, but I still wear a mask. I notice more and more folks
throwing caution to the wind in that regard.
I hope you can stay home and safe. I hope you can get vaxxed
soon as well. Stay well brother.

Thanks, Jim. I hope that you can stay safe, too.
I'm doing my best to just keep my head down and wait it all out.
On the plus side, we are starting to see more vaccines arrive,
and the uptake by the younger peeps has been enthusiastic, to
say the least. There's also talk of our second shots not being
delayed by up to 16 weeks, so that's encouraging as well.
Otoh, sis and I are going out to Dinkleville on Sunday to spend
Mother's Day with Mama D. These trips always make me a bit
nervous, but I also want to see my mom. Trying to find a balance
you can live with can be a challenge, nowadays.
