Gosh damnit---still way cold at night (23 last night), well
below seasonal norms. My started plants are plenty big enough to
transplant, but air and soil temperatures are still far too low.
Plugging away at the prep work, a bit at a time. Picking up a
few sticks of 8' 2x2 for planter box construction at the local
lumberyard later today---yeah, our governor had closed it. Fuck
the economy, stay scared and dependent.
Going to plant peas, carrots, radishes, greens, other
       cold-tolerant varieties soon.

We had bad storms here over the weekend. Quarter sized hail. Was
checking out my roof. Thinking about calling my insurance guy
and having an adjuster out to see if perhaps I can get a new
       roof for cheap.

Paid $6000 a couple years ago for a tear-off/reshingle (approx.
15 square) plus add a skylight---been dealing with a recurring
skylight leak since---been tarped for 3 weeks now, NOT
       happy---my kitchen ceiling is ruint---

I remember you talking about the travails you've had with that
skylight and the contractor. I had my roof replaced about 20
years ago, but I paid for top of the line materials. It's held
up quite well, but all things have their end.

DAMNIT! Woke up to snow this morning! My freakin' cukes are
starting to flower, they need to go in the ground outside. My
       tomatoes average 18" tall.
       This is pissing me off.
