       Yer making me veggie hungry.

I crave vegetables. Got to have them at least once a day. Rather
snack on carrots than chotato pips.

       Me too!
But I like tater chips too.🙄

Oh sure, you betcha! We often make our own. Russets sliced thin
on the mandoline, soaked in water and dried, fried in peanut
oil. Whiff of Old Bailey's or Lowrey's.
       Tortilla chips too.

“ we will discuss it when i get home from work”... “too tired,
so many emergencies....blah fucking blah... tomorrow”... i
told her as she exited today that im gathering my gear and i
will take up residence in the woods on property... she said...

Lights came on a few minutes ago (timer is set for on at 4AM,
off at 10PM). Boy howdy! That application of 5-5-5/calmag after
the compost tea worked a sweet trick! The higher light intensity
likely played a role too. But stuff is flat THRIVING.
I'm using 3" fiber pots and Happy Frog potting soil from my
local grow shop. Getting great results. Most of my seed stock
came from Seed Savers Exchange. About 1 1/2 times the price of
Burpee or Livingston or whomever, but top quality, and they do
good work in preserving heirloom varieties. I have beans from
them of a variety that was carried on the Trail of Tears,
       ferinstance. Their stuff GROWS.
One anomaly---a red bell pepper variety, King of the North. One
seed that grew from that packet is definitely NOT a pepper.
Looks more like some kind of brassica. I'll grow it and see 8)
Slowing down the watering at this point. Let 'em get a bit dry,
       then water lightly. Strengthens roots.
So---it's coming along nicely. Time to reconnect the downspouts
to the rainwater reservoir, start building, placing and filling
the new raised bed boxes (got all the lumber, hardware, soil,
&c), raking up the beds that I neglected to do last fall.
Now---will we have a decent spring? Last year's was awful. Too
hot & dry too early, then wet and cool til July. Wait & see, I
       guess.

Great, thanks! I get rather enthusiastic about it, don't want to
       bore folks with it.
Everything continues to do well...maybe a little TOO well. A few
things are nearly grown enough to transplant, but it'll be
another month at the soonest before I can even THINK about
putting anything in the ground. I can keep it all alive and
growing, but I'll need to open up some more space and add more
lights---which I have, but running them does bad things to my
electric bill. Well worth it in the long run, though, so I'll
just do what needs to be done.
One thing I'm concerned about---with recent events and the
possible longer-range consequences---will I have to stand guard
over my gardens? The irony is, I give away a good half of what
I grow. No need to steal, just ASK. But people act funny when
       they feel insecure.
We're getting back over $400 from state income taxes this year.
Very possibly will invest in upgrading the home security system.
More cameras, motion-detector lights, alarms. Also going to run
4' welded wire fence around everything---have the fencing and
T-posts. We'll see how that goes.

The posts are mostly in, just got to pull and attach the
fencing. Not "hard" work. We're finally beginning to see some
not-winter weather, and I'm chomping at the bit to get out and
       DO stuff.
Most of my started plants were outgrowing the 3" fiber pots, so
I pulled out a bunch of bigger pots and transplanted most of
them. Pics up on my FB page 8)
