Thought it got pretty cold here last night

Yeah, yesterday morning was pretty brutal. 2[sup]o[/sup]
following 8" of snow. Mid-January weather.
23[sup]o[/sup] this morning. It's like a heat wave---

Can’t even imagine all that white stuff. :o
We get a light dusting of ice or snow and they close the
schools, sand the overpasses, and generally have heart attacks.

It's brutal here in summer...And summer lasts about 7 months
really.
But to survive the heat most days, a bit of shade and some water
makes it survivable. Survivable.
I see the amounts of snow you North folk get though...I mean
that shit literally grinds things to a halt. The heat down here
is miserable, but sunshine doesn't close freeways and roads.
geography is a series of tradeoffs in lifestyle. Pleasant
summers mean brutal winters. Hot, miserable summers mean
generally mild winters.
