It's usually a nicer day when you don't die.
Went to see Ma again I guess? Or to take her to an appointment?
You're a good man Dan.
How's your Brother the Dinklefarmer doing this year? Rather, did
he have a good year Dinklefarming?

Yeah, we went out to Dinkleville for our weekly visit with Mama
D. I have been out to D-ville every week, and sometimes twice a
week, since Christmas. Done around 13,000 miles in that time, a
lot of it in bitter cold or snowy, crappy winter driving
conditions. I'm not a fan of winter driving. >:(
Unfortunately, we can't personally take Mama D anywhere any
longer. She is wheelchair bound now due to arthritis and unable
to get in a vehicle. :(
Things at the Dinklefarm are okay, although it won't be a
plentiful harvest this year. We had a very dry spring followed
by the wettest summer in 40 years which made for poor farming
conditions. Bro told me years like this are more about the money
you don't spend rather than the money you make.

Counting the slower city driving part it's about 6 hours.
I have an extensive music collection on my phone, so that helps
a bit.

It's been a wild weather story everywhere this year.....Not good
weather anywhere I guess...We've had a really hot one this year
down here in Tejas. It's still in the upper 90's here. Usually
in September we get a bit of a break, but not this year.
Global warming is real and I'm really frustrated by those that
deny it.

You had to be moving right along to do that distance in 6 hours!
Average 72.5MPH, and you say there were slower parts---

Yeah, the math doesn't quite work out. ;D
The round trip to D-ville is about 6 hours, or around 560 km
(336 miles). There are shorter routes, but I prefer the slightly
longer route as the traffic is lighter and the scenery is a bit
more stimulating.
The additional km (and time, of course) comes from the trip out
the Dinklefarm and to a neighbouring city to go to Walmart and
pick up a few things for Mama D that she needed.
I never checked this trip's exact mileage, even though I did set
the trip before I left, but it usually works out to around 700
km.
Alberta's posted speed limit on most two lane highways is
100km/hr, but everyone pretty much goes 108 (65 mph). On the
divided highways the limit is 110, but most people travel
anywhere from 115 to 125 with no issues from the speed cops.

Wise not to. Most of the trouble I’ve had online has been due to
political issues. Global warming is a science argument that has
been politicized.
