..,.., Left my last call at 6 this evening and it was 104
according to my truck thermometer. It started raining, no
Presbyterian rain either, but a genuine Baptist downpour. By the
time I got home, it was 78!!!

love it! it took me until noon to get everything done, get
out to the tractor and get fueled up... looking out the shed
window, the heat visual distortion was like nothing i recall in
floriduh... southwest new mexico or arizona... but not
florida... 2 to 3 inch shimmer off the sheet metal on the
truck... i carried i huge umbrella, one gallon insulated jug o’
cold water, and various altitude adjusters... altitude
adjusters be important shit when youre piloting a tractor in
100+ degrees F heat... (the llamas spent the day up to their
necks in the pond...)

It's oppressive isn't it? I was on a roof this afternoon, had to
go get some belts for a condenser and made the mistake of
leaving a few tools on the roof. I had to pick the few wrenches
I'd left there with a rag and put them under running water
before I could use them!
This was the view from the loop as I headed home and saw the
blessed downpour I was happily driving into...

weve been getting regular rains, thankfully... but the high
temps are still incredible... i remember some pretty hot
summers growing up in southern new mexico... but nothing like
this.

beauty.....
I will try to post some pics from my last visit there, at some
point this weekend.
