Got damb, I might have to sue an old buddy

       ---------------------------------------------------------
3 1/2 years ago, Cinny inherited some funds from her late
grandmother's estate. We spent most of it on home
infrastructure. One thing we did is have the roof replaced, and
added a skylight in the kitchen. A good friend of mine
contracted the job. Paid him $5000.
The skylight started leaking a couple months ago. I have been in
constant communication with the contractor---they've been back
on it three times---it's still not fixed. My kitchen ceiling is
damaged. What is it doing to my roof framing?
I texted him this morning that it WILL be fixed today, or I'll
hire somebody else and backcharge him---and if he doesn't pay,
       I'll see him in court.
       I didn't want this.
       People suck.

That does suck. I can’t abide a man that doesn’t stand by his
       work.

He called an hour ago. Said if his employee wasn't here by 5PM
today, he would come himself at 9AM tomorrow and deal with it.
       18 minutes to go.

He just left. Redid the whole thing down to the sheathing.
       Kissed and made up.
       Whew! :)

What can I say, he's an enthusiastic kisser :-*
I'm just grateful that this situation got resolved. I didn't
want a conflict with him, he's an old pal---even worked for me
one summer some years ago. But a barely 3-year-old roof that was
leaking for MONTHS and not dealt with was totally unacceptable.
       Onward, through the fog---

He sent a guy over 2 nights ago to tarp it, got the leak
       stopped---been raining steady since, can't work on it---but I
didn't pay $5K to look at a tarp through my skylight. Fer fuck's
       sake, FIX THIS >:(
