       Our common bond

       ....Is music.
       And the struggle that is daily life.
       I've had one Forum member go absent, because i banned political
       discussion. That grieves me, but I'll not change my position on
       the matter.
       A couple of other Forum members are still at odds, it would
       seem, over wounds inflicted before the ban went in effect.
       Both of these members are people I hold dear. Both of these
       people are talented musicians, with a wealth of knowledge,
       musical history, and real life wisdom to impart.
       I hope they can both remember our common thread. Let bygones be
       bygones. Life is fucking short.

       Most of my conflict with Jamie happened outside of The Basement.
       I apologize for bleeding it over onto here. I most definitely
       don't want to try to shut anyone up or drive them away.
       But GAWDDAMBIT. When you judge me and call me horrible
       names---because my experience, my perspective is different than
       yours---and try to assume some kind of moral superiority---yeah,
       I'm gonna have a problem with that, and I'm gonna say so right
       out loud. Just the way I'm built. No excuses.
       I am ALWAYS open to discussion. I think my history verifies
       that. It might get heated, but so it goes---people of good will
       ALWAYS find a way to at least accommodate. I aspire to be one of
       those people.
       Know this---I will not waste my time arguing with empty-headed
       idiots who grab onto a party line and never come close to an
       original thought.
