...by the way, we're in the middle of a "heat wave" (for
us)---heat index of 110 or so for the last several days---storms
rolled through last night, we were just on the edge of it by the
lightning show was truly AWESOME--- :o

I know that you folks up north are not used to heat like that.
We have rare instances of extremes in cold, such as ice storms,
snows, and below freezing temps that we are as ill equipped to
deal with as you folks are with high heat spells.
